Wonderful staff, good food and not the least, wonderful nature. It's quiet, and one does not have to make an effort to see monkeys (macaques and "dusky leaf"). But also there are birds, flying bats, even flying snakes, sand crabs, wild boar, eagles ....
One is pampered through and through. Need a relaxing vacation after a tough and hard work period? This is the place to go. Just lie on the beach and read.

We stayed twice last year and planning to go again next month. Great place to relax, beach is amazing-turquoise waters and white sand, the lagoon pool is very enjoyable. The rooms are average in space but cozy, food is very good, staff very friendly, spa is expensive but of great quality.

This was our 3rd visit to Langkawi Island, but was our very first visit to this resort. We had a good experience with other Starwood property previously such as in Phuket and Krabi. Hence, for our 4th Wedding Anniversary celebration this time, my husband and I decided to travel within the Malaysia, and Andaman Resort Langkawi was our choice.

At first, most of our friends suggested that we should choose other resort hotel, due to the location of this resort was away from town area. However, after full consideration, we proceed with our Andaman Resort trip as we really need to have our special moment together on our special occasion and I’m so glad that we makes a great decision! Without any regret, we enjoy our 3 nights stay at the resort very much!

Upon our arrival, we rent a car from the airport and we driving directly to the resort. Perhaps there will be additional sign board along the way as we can only refer the signage to Datai instead of Andaman. We almost thought that we lost our way till we finally saw the Andaman signage nearly towards to the resort main entrance. The first impression was either I’m in Phuket or still in Malaysia?? (“,)

Their Receptionist was outstanding! One of their Front Desk team, Ms Heliza greeted me by name before I ever hand out our reservation confirmation slip. She recognized our special occasion and we being seated at The Jentayu Lounge to refresh ourselves with their special welcome drink while doing our check-in process. What a delightful surprise when she told us that our room has being upgraded to the Ocean View for this visit. She also accompanies us to the room personally to ensure that everything is in order and guess what?? Another surprise in the room!! We received special amenities arrangement for our special celebration with a personal welcome card.

The view from our room was amazing! The room was hug too…big bathroom, separate standing shower and bathtub, large sitting area at the corner of the room to rest relax while watching the television. The bed was allocated facing the ocean view, which you will have a perfect refreshing view, especially when you just wake-up in the morning. The resort also offering free wireless internet from your own room! I thought that I could stay away from internet during our holiday! (“,)

While you in the room or before leaving you room just make sure that you closed your room door and balcony door properly. Seriously.....make sure you lock your door and balcony, otherwise the monkeys will love to come over for a visit to your room!

Selection of food is only within the resort and since we have rented a car, we heading out to Cenang Beach areas for our lunch on the second day. However, we did enjoy our dinner at The Restaurant for the second night and wonderful dinner on our anniversary day. We also had lunch on our third day at the Tepian Laut, beach front restaurant. The resort did provide the news letter in all the guest room, on every activity that they had including their restaurant promotion. They don’t have buffet dinner every night, perhaps during the weekend or when the occupancy is high.

We just hang out by the beach side on our third day, swimming at their crystal clear beach and utilized the complementary snorkeling equipment. Other water sport equipment is chargeable with reasonable rental fee. The resort swimming pool was lovely, perfectly for couple or even for family with small children.

Overall, their staffs are very polite and helpful, especially the team at the driveway from Doorman up to the Bellman. You definitely can feel their Truly Malaysian hospitality while you were there. We had one of the most memorable stay in Langkawi. Even though this was our first visit to The Andaman Resort, Langkawi…we will definitely be back soon!!

You no need to travel to Phuket just to enjoy the beautiful Andaman Sea!

“Allow our naturalist to introduce you to the abundant wildlife of this environmentally friendly hotel on a nature walk, then restore and replenish at V Botanical Spa. A dip in the sparkling pool or an evening nature walk complete the day…..” To good to be true?? You should check it out!!

Just taken a two day break at this great hotel. Fantastic location, quiet and secluded (unlike Cenang). Great food, fantastic staff - polite, friendly and never insincere. All water sports free was a bonus. Just a tip for families - It is not obviously publicised but kids can join the SPG Club (ask at Reception) for which they get to eat and drink for only 60RRM per day. They must eat with you or when you order but is great value and the kids menus are extensive. Does not include room service but still worth it. Cannot wait to return.
