the hotel is old and not renovated for a long time, the facilities and furniture are old.
only 1 of the 3 lifts operates at night and on the night of my stay it is one which is faulty. I had to put up with it and the staff told me that the manager was aware of the problem!

Stayed at the Crystal Crown hotel from 24 to 26th Nov 2010. The room is quite spacious and the hotel gave us a triple bed instead of a twin bed room. Booked by email and I must say they responded fast. They were also very accomodating e.g. deducting RM20 per night when we told them we do not want breakfast - many hotels would not make any discount for that. They also allowed us to check out later at 1.30 pm. In fact I must applaud the receptionist - she personally delivered a roll of toilet paper when I could not get it from House keeping which closed at 11pm. We ordered room service - would definitely recommend the grilled snapper and the prawn salad but not the laksa and gado gado which were too spicy. We have chosen the hotel this time round for its proximity to a well known hawker centre - taman seri tebrau 大马花园 as well as the Fizzio massage centre just opposite the hawker centre. Heard that the Japanese restaurant in the hotel is good but did not have a chance to try it.

This place is not too bad for the price. It is an old-style business hotel that has big rooms and that has seen better days, but reasonably clean. Staff reasonably helpful. Breakfast was awful. They charge RM30 per day for wifi access. Swimming pool is a white elephant - it is there but nobody bothers about it. "Health centre" usage is chargable extra and is definitely not "family freindy."

good view, good roomy, in the morning no hot water, good breakfast, competetive room rates, average location, needs beef-up for pool area, need beef-up function rooms, very friendly front dest team.
