Down-market business hotel chain with a gaudy colour scheme that reminded me of Ryanair. Aimed primarily at single business travellers. Our room was for a couple and child, with a bunkbed above a double bed, and rather cramped and hostel-like in ambience. It has everything you need including free breakfast (but not good coffee) but if you are travelling as a couple and want a cheap business hotel then I would go for the Toyoko and Comfort chains. Kochi is a nice city. The hotel is 7mins walk from the rail station (you can see it from the train), and from there it is another 15 mins walk south to where the evening action is. The castle and sunday market are well worth visiting. For a light lunch before catching a train, try the excellent simple udon restaurant a few minutes walk north of the station.
