** Disclaimer
I was at a twin room on a non-smoking floor, facing the streets.
Dunno about any other rooms.
**Location
Location is great. The metro that connects straight from the airport and the rest of the city is just across the street, and so is the bus terminal that can take you to the spa places like kurogawa and yufuin. Big shopping centers are also just a few streets away, and of course, the underground arcade shopping mall entrance is just outside. There's also starbucks and a convenient store right by so it is super convenient.
**Staff
Best ever. Even considering they're japanese, they were super friendly and helpful. Bus schedules, train schedules, where the stops are, phone numbers for ryokans at yufuin, ask them anything you like, they'll let you know even if it means they need to do some searching themselves. And they're really friendly all through it, even if you ask them at 10 pm. We gave them some ginseng jellies as gifts when we checked out.
**Room
It was bit small, but then, it was to be expected, therefore acceptable. Reasonably clean though I do remember discovering a hair on the bed sheets. It has all basic amenities though I don't think I rember a personal safe.
**Breakfast & Internet
Breakfast? t's FREE!!! What more do you want?
Internet? Never used in the room, but there were 2 computers in the lobby that the guests could use for free and they had internet access. I looked up the weather forecasts on it every morning.
**Noise
The room was facing probably one of the busiest streets in the city, so of course some noise has to be there, but it wasn't intolerable. Besides, we had the windows closed with the air conditioner on so that may have helped.
**All in All
Looking for somewhere cheap, in good location? This may be the place for you.
Looking for a quiet getaway or some more luxury? There are plenty of hotels around this district, go search.
