If you're on a budget and take what you get, then this hotel would be ideal for you. I stayed 3 nights, including new years.
31st Y9000 Semi-Double room (140cm)
1st Y9000 + Y4000 Deluxe Double room (160cm)
2nd Y9000 + Y4000 Deluxe Double room (160cm)
So for two people, the semi-double room was way too small. It felt cramped so I had to opt for an upgrade in which the options were (add Y2000 a night for a Normal Double room OR add Y4000 a night for a deluxe double room). It was my last two nights in Japan so I paid the extra for the bigger bed (160cm).
All the non-smoking rooms were booked, and it is highly recommended to stay in a non-smoking room, if not, stay at grand hyatt if you can afford it. The smoke was in the walls and in the bed cover etc...
The first time I requested the window to be opened. I returned that night to find that it was closed shut again by the staff (need to the staff to open/close) so the smoke in my room wasn't cleared out. I called front, and they said they couldn't open the windows. I insisted. They said no.
Also, remember to bring your own soap. They don't offer soap which I found quite annoying.
Location is great, if you like shopping, it's close to Tenjin as well as the night food stalls. If you're a lone traveler and looking to check out the nite life, there's a street for that 2 minutes away (for gentlemen only).
Overall, I wouldn't stay here again, I'd opt for Grand Hyatt instead. But there are plenty of hotels near by that seem decent enough to stay (from the outside).
