We only stayed here for 1 night on-route to Mt Aso from Tokyo, and though the room was very small, the hotel was very clean and in a very convenient location near hakata JR station. It is less than 1 minute walk away and near all the glitziness of Hakata. Hakata is such a big city with so many lights! highly recommended for the budget traveller for above average accommodation.

A friend of mine and I were in a jam and needed a room with two beds from 7:00 a.m. to around noon on a Saturday morning. Most hotels would turn people away even if they had rooms, but the Green Hotel welcomed us. I'm rating them above average because of the attention given to this special need-- a room, little drama, quick check in and even faster check out.
My only problem was that the hotel may not accommodate non-Japanese reading guest very well. I wanted to call the front desk for a wake up call and for the life of me, couldn't figure out what to dial. Zero didn't work, the phone instructions were in Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana. There was however an alarm clock in the room, and it worked. Contacting the hotel staff with questions and concerns was difficult and should there have been an emergecy, that would have been a major problem.
Aside from the above, the bed was perfect, shower was great and I love getting a fresh toothbrush at a hotel.

The four of us stayed for 4 nights at Hakata Green, and got 1 semi-double room in Tower 2 and 1 twin room in Tower 1 (well, but they were actually just 10 steps away from each other).

Tower 2 was recently renovated and furniture and bathroom were pretty ok. Semidouble room in Japan is typically tiny, and pretty much as what we expected. It does not have wardrobe but there were a few cloth-hangers for us to hang things on the wall.

The size of twin room in Tower 1 was ok, at least it fits a medium-sized luggage between the two beds. Although it wasn't renovated recently like Tower 2, but furniture and bathroom were still acceptable.

Location is excellent, right outside Hakata station and just 10 minutes away from Airport station.

Rate is very reasonable and we enjoyed the 8000 Yen internet

Its major selling point is its price and location, very close to Hakata Station and numerous shops/restaurants around Hakata Station. The room is ok in size (we stayed at the Japanese tatami room) and is generally clean. There is not much facilities at the hotel but we had no complaint about that since we just used it as a base to explore the area and only came back late at night for a nice shower and sleep.
