I needed a place to stay so I could catch early morning international flight. Staff had very poor English skills but got point across. Very safe for solo traveler as close to railway and bus. Cheap taxi ride to airport (around 1200 yen) or 250 yen by underground. Small but everything you need to overnight in safe clean place. Food nearby. Great shopping close by. Nice PJ's I got a "ladies" room and loved the Nightie and extras.

My boyfriend and I travelled around Japan for a few weeks, finding our hotels as we arrived in a city.
We decided to try staying somewhere a little cheaper, thus we ended up here.
The room was tiny, there was a bad smell in the wardrobe, and the carpet was pretty gross. No way I would've put my bare feet on the carpet.
It was like being in a tiny cabin on a ship.
After 1 night we decided to move on, and decided that since accommodation was important to us, to spend more and stay in nice places.
This place would be great for people that aren't that bothered about where they stay. I wouldn't have minded it 20 years ago, but now like a little luxury!

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Green Hotel here in the this very lively city. Comfortable room, friendly staff. Free internet in the lobby. It lacked nothing and at a good price.

Stayed here for 1 night and the reason why we chose it was its proximity to the train station as we were due to catch an early train the next day. The hotel was about a 5-7 mins walk from the station, and pretty easy to find, in comparison to the other hotels we stayed in during our 9 days in Japan.

For about 9,000 Yen for a double/twin room, it was a pretty good hotel, in terms of value for money – close to that station, English speaking staff, free internet PC in the lobby, clean room and even PJs for you to wear to bed! It wasn’t exactly the Ritz, but it was a pretty good hotel and the toilet was a bit of a novelty, with its spraying water, etc!!

If you just want somewhere to stay which is convenient for the station but clean and has the basic things a hotel should have, I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

There’s a “Family Mart” which is a convenience store, very close to the hotel, handy for when you just need a few bits and bobs.

There is a Hakata Green Hotel Number 2 but I think it’s the same as the Number 1 hotel.
