Right off the Tenjin Train Station and subways, plenty of life around, late open restaurants and clubs, convenience stores, cafes, karaokes, Temple, museum, nice public baths, clubs - some look a bit weird from outside but I didn't try - and Huge shopping area around - this feels like Japan! The hotel is small, very clean and with a simple elegant and efficient design. Service is top. Since no kids channels were available staff brought us a DVD player with kids movies and cartoon, asked for a humidifier and got it in 5 minutes, sushi bar open all night, smiling genuinely friendly and efficient staff. Room was a bit small compared to American standards but so well organized that it felt bigger than the Hilton from which we run away. Price was very good 120 US for 2 double - which was bigger than the Queen bed room. This is the place to stay if you want to enjoy life in Fukuoka. BTW we also tried hotels in the "old" Center on the opposite side of the station. Nothing beats this hotel around - in my humble opinion. Only drawback no wifi in anywhere just cable, but free and fast. Also the breakfast seems a bit expensive and conventional while tons of options are available around at any time. A perfect stay. Hope you will have the same experience.
