“Pleasant stay overall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

We stayed in this hotel for 5 days, as the hotel is close to the rail station and airport, I found it rather convenient as we were travelling in and out of Hakata for the first two days. The hotel building was new, rooms were good sized and clean.

We were checking out in the early morning and had to post a parcel containing the mobile wifi we rent for the week back to the company, the reception refuse to help us to mail it ( the wifi rental company has already paid for the fees ). After explaining to the reception for a while and even opening the parcel for them to check, they finally agreed to help us to drop it in the post box.

Maybe we were just spoiled by the high quality service provided by other Japanese Hotel.

“Highly recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2010

Location: very good! 2 metro stops/15mins taxi drive from the airport at the cost around 1300 yen, 2min walk from Hakata station, 3 metro stops to Tenjiu,7 eleven is next to the hotel
Room: rooms are good sized for Japan, recommend twin room instead of double room, very clean, there is even an aircleaner in the room, and comfortable beds
Service: hotel staff are friendly and helpful, there is a Chinese at the reception desk who can help with the communication problem for Chinese tourists. An abundant supply of toiletries to guests, including moisture mask and hair band, very considerate!
Breakfast: very good for the value

“Super Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2009

We used this hotel as a base for a two week holiday in Kyushu in late November/early December, and stayed there off and on for a total of 5 nights. Conveniently located near the Hakata railway station/subway and a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport, There are restaurants and shops located nearby and there is a decent sized supermarket in the basement of the station. Rooms were good sized for Japan and the bathrooms had a generous supply of toiletries. There is a ionise/aricleaner in each room although the control for the airconditioning/heating system was in Japanese. Front-desk staff were helpful and friendly and there is a good breakfast spread laid out in the morning. The Japanese style breakfast was superior to the western while the coffee was indifferent. There is a laundry room with a free washer and dryer which meant that we had clean clothes for most of our stay. We liked staying at this hotel and it is probably not the best or opulent in town but it is super in an understated way.

“Smart, stylish, modern, fresh, straightforward”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2009

I would describe this hotel as a 'simplified Westin' in its style and feel. Rooms are smart, stylish and modern, but simple and straightforward. They are contemporary in an enjoyable way - with lovely leather inserts on the desk and a great little coffee table on wheels. A really comfy arm chair and similarly comfy desk chair were both great.

Again think Westin in terms of good quality linens (all white), pillows and mattresses.

The bathroom was modern, spotless, with great Japanese toilet (of course) and a curved shower curtain rail for extra space (again think Westin). Nice amenities included drip coffee and bottles of water. Free high speed internet and a decent flatscreen TV added to the functionality of the room. Similarly, the hotel felt functional too - particularly offering a free self-service laundry, including giving us little sachets of washing powder.

The only negative of the room for me was the lack of a decent reading light. I had to leave all the main room lights on in the evening to read in bed, which was a shame in terms of not being able to create a nicer evening ambience in the room.

Staff at this hotel didn't speak lots of English but were really friendly, helpful and welcoming - doing everything they could for us.

Location is brilliant, right by the station and easy, pleasant walk to Canal City and onto the Tenjin area.

Definately would recommend this hotel for a comfortable, enjoyable, efficient stay in Fukuoka.
