Our family (2 parents, and kids aged 16 and 2) stayed here on our first trip to Japan. We had a week in Tokyo and took a side trip to Nikko and Lake Chuzenji for 2 days/1night. This hotel is beautiful, new, immaculate, formal but not pretentious. The baths are gorgeous, especially the women's outdoor bath and the outdoor family bath! We must have been there in the off-season, because it was like we had the place to ourselves. We had a dedicated hostess who was very friendly and kind. She served us our meals in our room. The food was amazing and beautifully presented. The room was very spacious, tasteful, and had an amazing view of the lake. It was the highlight of our week! We stayed under the Kisuge plan, see website. We used the hotel's website: (-) but you can also use Japanese Guest Houses to book: (-)
