This is "the historic hotel" in Yokohama. This is a place for those who like the atmosphere of the good old days in Yokohama (like me), or those who are interested in Japanese history. Visitors who are not familiar with the place or Japanese history will find it very ordinary. If you are interested in Japanese history, check out the hotel website. If you aren't, then this is not for you.

Small room without Wifi, friendly staff. A nice garden/patio for lunch. Part of the hotel due for upgrade to 2011 standard.

Very shabby and dirty approach road, claustrophobic hotel interiors, poor service and very unhelpful and unwilling staff, very ordinary room, paid internet, the only plus is decent house keeping & cleanliness...

Hotel staff friendly but out of the way from train stations and no wi-fi connection. Room smoky, son was not happy
