This hotel is on the outskirts of the city centre called Shin Yokohama, near the JR and local subway stations so getting around Yokohama is convenient. Especially if you're visiting the city as a tourist - as you'll probably be going away from the area all of the time. Otherwise, due to its good business/conference facilities, for the business traveller would be good.

The main attractions nearby are the adjacent shopping malls (2 of them, one of which is a huge electronics megastore) above the JR station, the Yokohama area (for concerts), Nissan Stadium (venue of the 2002 FIFA world cup final, and Ramen museum, all of which can be visited within half a day.

The rooms are small though, but that seems to be quite typical of most Japanese hotels i've stayed in.

Since, we needed a Hotel near Shin Yokohama station, we stayed at this Hotel. Rooms are average (nothing great - just basic). We liked breakfast (Yen 1600 per person) very much which had a big spread suitable for Japanese as well as internation traveller.

the hotel is a big tower over a 5 fl commercial center very close to the shinkansen station making this hotel an ideal choice for whom in possess of a JR pass. The area, like all Japan, is very convenient as there are 24h shops and is well organized, but there is no special reason to stay here if without a pass or if not for business in the area. Staff are very helpful and kind; any way all over Japan people are kind and helpful, making this country the perfect one in the world. I recommend this hotel as I recommend all Japan. I think that this is the only country where next time I will reserve any kind of accommodation being sure to receive a perfect service in any case.
Plus: in the building there is an Italian pizzeria marked as VERA PIZZA DI NAPOLI ... not tried but this should be a guarantee

This hotel can be reached with a 5 mn walk from Shin-Yokohama Shinkansen. So getting to/from Tokyo center is quick & easy. There are lots of small restaurant/bars/shops around, yet there is not much to do there at night. The hotel is inside a tower above a shopping mall, it is modern, rooms are not very large but confortable with everything you need for business. Breakfast is very good with a choice of japanese or western style. It is located in the heart of Shin-Yokohama business district so a lot of companies are within walking distance.
