Hotel is close to shin yokohama shinkansen station. Has a very nice restaurant on the 40th floor (a little bit expensive but ok for Japanese food). The view from the restauratn is very nice. tHE hotel is very clean and there is a shuttle bus to the Narita airport. (takes about 2 hours). It also offers free WLAN access.

The decor of the room is filthy- the walls have yellowed unfortunately not evenly so the color is from off white to dark brown. I think the ceiling is ment to be white, probably was some decades ago.Otherwise generally clean. Amazing, this high rise tower building has single glazed windows- very cold in one half of the room. Typical Japanese hotel room,matchbox size filled with minture wardrobe, desk, bed and a plastic kisok for a bathroom. This highly connected country cannot provide wireless in the room so they give you a 2 meter lan cable to connect your laptop to you can work from the bed and be warm at the same time. Needless to say that guests cannot control the airconditioning.

This hotel is on the outskirts of the city centre called Shin Yokohama, near the JR and local subway stations so getting around Yokohama is convenient. Especially if you're visiting the city as a tourist - as you'll probably be going away from the area all of the time. Otherwise, due to its good business/conference facilities, for the business traveller would be good.

The main attractions nearby are the adjacent shopping malls (2 of them, one of which is a huge electronics megastore) above the JR station, the Yokohama area (for concerts), Nissan Stadium (venue of the 2002 FIFA world cup final, and Ramen museum, all of which can be visited within half a day.

The rooms are small though, but that seems to be quite typical of most Japanese hotels i've stayed in.

Since, we needed a Hotel near Shin Yokohama station, we stayed at this Hotel. Rooms are average (nothing great - just basic). We liked breakfast (Yen 1600 per person) very much which had a big spread suitable for Japanese as well as internation traveller.
