“Impressive is an understatement”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2011

Stayed here for 3 nights last month. Usually don't stay at hotels when I'm in Japan but nobody we knew lives around TDR.

The hotel is great. My gf booked the room through a Japanese agency and got a fantastic rate. The first room we got smelled like smoke, both of us being non-smokers this really bothered us. I called the front desk and they immediately apologized and offered a new UPGRADED room. I didn't ask for that, they offered it. Got the new room. It was bigger than my apartment back in Minnesota LOL! Great view of the bay I could stand around watching the water traffic all day.

We didn't really spend that much time in the room as it was Disney Disney Disney. Got the driver of the MIckey Mouse shuttle to take a pic of us in front of it, great pic. lol (the bus takes you to the shuttle train station for a short ride to the parks)

The breakfast buffet was really good. Mostly western style. We didn't dine at any of the other restaurants but according to some other guests I talked to there they were very good. I was on a mission to find Chiba's best tonkatsu myself, so evenings were spent in search of that!!! (and found it oh yeah mmmm tonkatsu!)

I found this hotel to be great. Even if we had stayed in the original room it was fairly large. Bigger than any I've ever seen in Japan. They are clean, neat and comfortable. Service is as you would expect anywhere in Japan, five star. If there is a problem the management will bend over backwards to make sure you're happy. Employees are very polite and professional. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone.

“Fantastic hotel minutes away from Tokyo Disneyland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2008

My husband, 2 year old son and myself stayed here for four nights in late October. I have been to Japan five times and i have never had a room this large. The room is huge with a king sized bed, chair, sofa and plenty of room for my son to run around in. The bathroom is huge as well and is very luxurious! There is a marble sunken tub and large glass shower with plenty of space. It would have been nice to have a view of the park, instead we had a view of Tokyo Bay, but we were hardly in our room so that didn't matter. Room was very comfortable. The last night we were there i think they turned off the air conditioning. We opened the window, which has a safety setting, which barely opens but does cool down the room. We bought our Disney tickets directly from the hotel. Supposedly if you stay at an official disney hotel (which this one is with the others nearby), you have guaranteed entry into the parks, which is a plus, since they are packed it seems on a daily basis. Well definately at peak season. Our room came with breakast. There are four restaurants to choose from. Three restaurants on the first floor, which fill up at 7 am, since everyone wants to get to the parks when they open. We found that the Japanese restaurant on the 2nd floor, which was tucked away, wasn't as crowded. They had a nice selection of Japanese, Chinese dumplings and western dishes and we were able to get out of there fast and onto the parks. The restaurant Fontana on the first floor is excellent with smoked salmon, waffles and all good things to eat on their buffet. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Hotel is opposite the monorail station. You can either take the free shuttle bus (takes 2 minutes) or walk there. We would definately stay here again. We booked the room through agoda.com and got a good rate with breakfast.

“Good for those with vertigo!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2005

If you go to Tokyo there are probably better hotels but not for those of us with vertigo. If you don't like being on the 30th floor of some skyscraper then this is the Tokyo hotel for you. The highest floor possible is the 10th and the majority are lower. It is also very good if you want to get outside for some fresh air as it has an outdoor (as well as indoor) pool and a small garden area. This particularly suits those staying for longer periods and those with small children who need a break from sight seeing all day.

Overall it is a good hotel although a little dated now in its decor but still immaculate. Most impressive was the service. Nothing was too much trouble and room service was so fast it was quite amazing.

“Fantastic Room and Amenities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2005

We reserved a triple room and it came with 3 super single beds and were surprised that we still had room to move around. Room was clean. The bathroom is spacious and amenities provided were fantastic.

The only thing is room service ends at 12am and all restaurants were also closed then.

“Great hotel, very near Disneyland!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2005

Sandwiched between two huge hotels in the Disney area, Okura's facade looks a bit unimpressive. But don't let that put you off, the lobby is elegant and the hotel is classy. Our rooms were average in size which is ok considering Tokyo rooms are relatively small. The room's interior are soft and charming. Bathroom is spotless with nice amenities. They have a very cute pink pouch bag that contains comb, pony tails, cotton, etc.

Buffet breakfast is superb! The selection is wide and the food really delicious.
Service is excellent.

Okura is accredited by Disneyland as one of its official hotels. There is a Mickey Mouse shuttle that goes around every so often to pick up guests who will ride the monorail to Disneyland.

The only downside is the noise. You could hear the disney theme song
until disneyland closes. But it's not really too loud to disturb your sleep.
It can even be a lullaby.

I would recommend Okura Hotel anytime. Nice, nice, nice hotel!!!!
