“Value at Narita Airport”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2010

This is a place to sleep and nothing else. Can't be beat for the price. You will get a small but completely adequate room that is clean, well ventilated and airconditioned, and usually quiet (unless they put you in the part of the building that is right above the rail tracks - to be avoided!). In winter the aircon is disabled and it can get warm in the room but you can open the window to cool it out. As the airport closes around 23:00, it's quiet at night. Other than that, not much going on. No Internet on the room and no room service. The food at the restaurant is not great but edible. There is a convenience store now which will supply you with the basics but better bring your own food or eat at the airport. Getting around isn't that easy. You can call a taxi but with the language issues most people will be confined to the hotel. Service at the hotel is minimalist. The gym is a poor joke. But again, what do you expect at the price? On the other hand, two weeks' free parking which is a big deal around here. Popular with budget travellers from Taiwan in particular. For a more upmarket, full-service and much pricier alternative, the Hilton is a good choice.

“We needed a place to stay close to the airport”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2010

And thats what we got. It´s located about fifteen minutes away from Narita airport if you go with the free shuttle bus or taxi. If your flight is delayed and the alternatives are fully booked this works. I would give it an average rating if they bothered with some new wallpaper and carpeting. By Japanese standards this is not a good hotel but it does serve it´s purpose.

“it's fine, mostly if you are about to catch the early flight from NRT..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 March 2010

I stay in this hotel regularly.
First of all, for the price you pay (or you receive it gratis from the airline) it's not that bad.
I like the fact it is quiet (unless there is not a Chinese school trip accommodated on your floor). If you suffer the jet lag you won't be woken up by the cleaners at 8 am when they bang on your door with the vacuum cleaner (typical for the European hotels) and the wooden curtains reduce all the noise and light from the outside.
There is the swimming pool, the gym and sauna available. Again, usually very quiet. Also, there is the tennis court next to the hotel, hardly used but not a good quality.
The breakfast in the winter on the top floor is the must as you can see taking off airplanes and mt. fuji in the distance.
The room.. Doubles are well sized, with the TV (only CNN and FOX for English speakers), desk, 2 armchairs and the refrigerator. The bathroom always smells of the bleach, but both - the room and the bathroom are fairly clean. And yes, sometimes you can smell the cigarettes in the non smoking rooms, but I have never had the problem with the reception and they changed my room.
The staff doesn't speak good English, so make sure they understand what you ask for.
The airport is connected by the free bus, departing every 30 minutes, the journey takes 10 minutes.
Narita town centre and shopping centre Aeon is connected by another free bus, departing every hour.
Tokyo city centre - you need to take the bus to the airport and the train. Count with about 2 hours for transit.
If you want to go out for the dinner - there are no restaurants close to the hotel so if you miss the last bus from Narita at 11pm, count that the taxi will cost you about 2,700 yen.
Internet service costs 1,000 yen for 24 hours or pay as you go 100 yen per 10 minutes.
Convenience store next to the reception.
