Unless one is living closer to the train tracks, you would not appreciate staying here, more so, when you have additional soundtrack of aircraft taking off throughout the night, and morning.
Yes, welcome to Marroad International Hotel Narita. We checked in here on February 8 as our flight back to Kuala Lumpur is scheduled at 1030 on February 9. Just to clarify, we did not book into this hotel but arranged by the tour manager Apple Vacations & Conventions Sdn Bhd, a.k.a. Kanan Holiday, a.k.a. Sakura Holiday from Kuala Lumpur.
Since this hotel is the closest to the Narita Airport, so I would suggest one not to expect anything much from this hotel, other than a place to bath, sleep, there is absolutely nothing that represents a unique Japanese culture in this hotel.
The carpet walking to the rooms are old, out of shape, not even and dirty. So be careful when pushing your luggage through the walkway. It's also smelly too.
The bedroom carpet is equally old and dirty. Kind of sad, why?
1. This is the last stop of Japan before heading back to Kuala Lumpur. If a trip supposed to be starts and ends well, then this is not the case.
2. The road leading to the hotel is dark. Really depressing. Like building up a mode of sadness before departing Japan.
3. Called the front office twice asking when the room is rather warm. Was told the main air-conditioner has been switched off, so if we want cooler air, please open the window. Well, the window has a huge and obvious sign that reads, 'Please don't open the window for dangerous prevention and insert control'.
We overheard from the tour manager, there is nothing much going on in Narita, in terms of entertainment other than prostitutes delivery service. Well, not suitable for married couples.
If you could request or book into some other hotels around Narita to catch your morning flight, avoid Marroad International Hotel Narita.
