Was in another traditional ryokan the day before KKR, so KKR pales in comparison. Only advantage is the fantastic sea view. We booked the package including 2 meals. Dinner was a lot of food - they even include a small pot of sukiyaki. But the abalone & lobster sashima was a small portion. Abalone was a little too hard too.
The room we booked were tatami style, again, as comparison, wasn't as big, & has no bath, only shower. But it seems quite new & clean.
Hotel has public onsen, but it's not available for private bookings, unlike some other hotels.
Hotel willingly picks us up from another hotel the night before, & provides transport in the morning to Atami train station.
KKR is more a hotel than a ryokan, even though it has both Western & Japanese rooms. If you're looking for good sea view, this is a good hotel. But if you want to try a traditional ryokan, there are many out there that offers better choices.
