Looks a bit pink from the outside, but very nice interior and lovely helpful staff. Also - you can get a room upgrade for 1500 Yen per person - much cheaper than when you originally book. We had an upgraded twin which really was a pair of doubles in a room twice the normal size, all with a view of snow-capped mountains. Shame there's not much to do in Matsumoto except for Kiso valley and the castle.
