Finding cheap accom in August (peak season) can be a mission. This place provided good maps to how to get there (you take a bus), the man that runs it was very nice and speaks a little english. He happily gave us an obscene amount of maps and other paraphenalia. The Rooms are very spacious. We travelled in a group of 4. The futons (japanese room) were so thick you would think you were lying on a mattress. There was also a small sitting area where you could make a cuppa. The room came with a large jug of hot water. When this was empty we went to the front and asked for more and they obliged. In the room was a shower/bath and toilet. But it also had a natural spring onsen style bath. One for men one for ladies. I chose this option because the bathrooms were really nice. My mother-in-law used the rooms bathroom. It is a typical onsen style bathroom. So nudity is essential. Our deal came with breakfast. We also wanted dinner but you have to pre-order this. (like when you make the booking or email/call a day before. Overall it was really cheap and quite nice. It is a little way out, but it's quiet and everyone is friendly.
