Nice clean rooms that are big by Japanese hotel standards. Very helpful concierge that spoke fluent English helped us really navigate the city.

A large international business hotel that could be in any large city - but none the worse for that. Check in was fast - our forwarded luggage was with us before we had completed check in - staff were cheerful, polite and helpful. Our room was large, spotless and well equipped - fridge, Flat screen TV [with English programs], tea maker, hair dryer etc. There is a fabulous view over towards the sea and the very impressive station. Bathroom had shower in bath - not a wet room. Beds were firm [always seem to be in Japan!] but comfortable and there was a menu of different types of pillows if you wanted to change the provided ones. Only slight negative was that we would have preferred a glass screen in the shower rather than a curtain.
Hotel is close to the station making it easy to reach the sights - which we did not think were really within walking distance although the loop bus is a good alternative. The gardens are exceptional but the castle is at present covered in scaffolding.
We did not eat in the hotel preferring to go to use nearby small local restaurants.
A very pleasant stay - recommended!

The hotel was great, it is located in front of the JR station on the right side and in front of the Anna Crowne hotel.

The hotel personnel was very polite and caring, it made you feel really welcome. The rooms were spacious, clean and with all amenities.

It is approximately a 30 minutes walk to the Castle Park, Kenrokuen Garden ,the and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, and a 40 minutes walk to the Higashi Cha and the Samurai districts.

I enjoyed this elegent, well-kept Nikko Hotel with very professional service and at excellent location close to the station.

Very comfortable and quite rooms. Full amenities and well kept even though the hotel is probably not brand new anymore. I would warmly recommend this to other travellers, even though it is no bargain. But as usual, service quality comes with a price...
