“good price, good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

I stayed 1 night there during Jan 2012. The price was good (6000 yen for a twin room). It is close to JR Nagoya station. I think it is about 5 mins walk. It is easy to recognize the hotel because of its color and shape. I ordered bmobile data sim card beforehand with hotel's address as the delivery address, so that bmobile will deliver the sim card to me on my arrival date. The hotel accepted the sim card for me. And then when i arrived and collected it, i requested the staff at the reception to activate the card for me using his personal mobile phone. Appreciate that he did it. Good service. The room is small, but ok. Good place to stay.

“Comfy hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

The hotel is clean and room is not too small. I had semi double room and two persons can sleep okay. The lobby looks very new and modern but the room is ordinary.

The hotel is closed to JR Nagoya station (only 10 min walk) however most shopping areas are in the other side where Meitetsu station lies so if you plan on going everywhere in Nagoya with ease, it is better getting a place near Meitetsu station.

If you are traveling in Nagoya and hold JR Pass, the Pass doesn't really get you anywhere in Nagoya as most of attractions are reachable by subway. I bought a day subway Meitetsu pass and it worths every Yen I paid.

FYI. No Wi-Fi Internet connection in the hotel

Room Tip: If stay two persons in a room, better not go for semi double bed room as it could be pretty small un...

“Basic hotel near Nagoya JR Station”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2011

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel during the Suzuka F1 Grand Prix and we paid 2/3 more for a basic double room.

Location is good as it is within 5 min walk to Nagoya JR station with lots of eateries and shops close by.

Room size is adequate but the table is quite small, so those who need to work at the table might not have enough space. However the room and the whole floor had a very strong cigarette smoke odour. We had to open the room window to get rid of the odour.

The airconditioning was poor with no temperature control in the room. On our first 3 nights, it wasn't cold. We had a room facing the main road which was opposite a fire station. We could hear the siren.

Hotel is very strict with check in policy but there free luggage storage facility.

Front office staff have passable English but they are helpful and polite.

“Clean and great service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2011

We stayed for 3 nights at this Chisun Inn in Nagoya. Because I've been in Japan before, I expected the room to be very tiny. Walking in the corridor you would think it would be extremely a small room but it was not. Surprisingly it was not as tiny as I expected. In fact, it was a good size (husband and I are tiny people though). We both like the place because of the location, the cleanliness and most of all, the staff were very helpful. The amenities were sufficient for us. If we come to Nagoya again, Chisun Inn Nagoya would certainly be a hotel we would consider staying in again. BTW it is also very close to the food central at the station. So convenient to get good food too!

“Right next to the station, functional, small, nothing more”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 March 2011

The Chisun Inn is a good cheap option given its location if you're just passing through. It's a no frills place, the rooms are very small but to rest for 8 hours and move on it's fine for £50. If you're planning to explore Nagoya the station area is actually a bit ropey so it's not a good location for the more vibrant area of Sakae, which is a 20 minute walk away.

Looking at the floor plan in our room we appeared to have one of the bigger rooms, and it was still small, so the others, unless singles must be tiny!
