This hotel is a good value. It is priced usefully lower than more central hotels, as hotels in Nagoya seem to first fill up based on their proximity to the Nagoya Shinkansen station.

The ANA Grand Court is one station away by local train, very close to the exit. For guests not carrying large luggage or travelling at peak hours, this should not be a problem. As usual near sizable JR stations, there are numerous reasonably priced shopping and eating outlets nearby.

The rooms are quite spacious, more so than in some downtown hotels, and furnished to the standard expected in this category of hotels. Views from the upper floors are extensive, although mostly over a neighborhood of medium-rise residential buildings.
According to the floor plan, room sizes are somewhat variable, as the building is convex; on my floor there were 9 smaller (probably single) rooms, and 13 double rooms, of which one was especially large and two on the smaller side.

For Priority Club members, note that standard ANA hotels only grant 600 PC points per stay, giving no incentive for further spending.

I like the ANA hotel its very easy to get around the city of nagoya one train ride to the city.

The hotel was excellent, my room was spacious with a large bathroom. The service was very good. In the lounge you could use a computer. The personnel was very nice and polite. Only a few of them were able to speak English, but this was no problem for me because I can speak Japanese. The view from my room was wonderful. Near the hotel is a large shopping center and a station. I was in Nagoya to attend a concert of my favourite singer, Mr. Kiyohiko Ozaki, and everyone in the hotel was very interested . The morning after the concert I was given a newspaper cutting with a review of the concert.

My 17-year-old daughter and I spent four nights at the ANA Grand Court Nagoya in late-December. The hotel room was very, very quiet and peaceful. We didn't hear anyone or any noises (from upstairs or the hallway) during our entire stay. The room was spacious with two double beds, a work desk, flat screen TV, and a nice corner with a hot water pot (love those!). Bathroom amenities were nice, and there was a lot of counter space (important when you travel with a teenager). The hotel provided slippers and a nightshirt for each of us. The free high-speed internet was great!

Perhaps that only drawback to this hotel is its location. While it is just outside the Kanayama station, it is one stop from Nagoya's main station which meant we had to allow enough time to transfer there each time we took the Shinkansen (bullet train). We used Nagoya as our base when we visited Takayama (2 hrs away) and Shirakawa-go (an hour by bus from Takayama). Both spots were well-worth the travel time; they were beautiful in the snow. Shirakawa-go is in the Japan Alps and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
