This is a modern and very nice hotel within a stone throws of the JR Kanayama station. Very convenient for trips into Shin Nagoya and other parts. Staff desk very very eager to please and help. We had dinner (six of us) in the Chinese/Japanese restauarant on the next to top floor and it was very good- excellent service- courses flowed nicely. Bar at top floor is a great place to unwind.
Room nice, very clean and spartan. Price is good for Japan- but still expensive. Draw back is that if you like to work out you will need to inquire at desk for a Gold's gymn pass for about $ 20 per use. It is open 24 hours but it is not easy to find (even with the marked map) and is located in the open mall just across the train tracks on the east of the hotel. Recommended based on location and price (still expensive but then again this is Japan)
Room Tip: To work out you will need to inquire at the front desk for a Gold's Gymn Ticket (for about $ 20). Gold's gymn is just around the corner (on third floor of nearby outdoor mall). It is a little difficult to find (there are signs but if one's Japanese is not so good this may be an issue). So go all the way UP to the TOP floor of the outdoor mall (the hotel provides a map but it just takes you to the north west corner of the mall).
