We stayed 3 nights at the Aquamarina I Beach hotel in November 2005 and I must say it was not any nice experience. Everything (the lobby, corridors, rooms) smells an awful smell of old cigarette smoke. Rooms are very old and dirty, as are the bathrooms. I have seen two rooms on the 2nd floor (ours and our friend's), so I don't know whether they have any cleaner/newer rooms of rooms of better standard. We were supposed to have a desert-view rooms and there was an extra charge if one wanted a sea-view. I'm not sure whether the sea-view upgrade would mean an upgrade o a cleaner option. I doubt.
The hotel beach was a total joke! A few square metres of concrete with several sunbeds & dirty mattresses, surrounded with a smell of boat oil...
