“Hated Holiday”

I found this not to be as detailed in brochure. The first day bathroom window and frame fell in right in the bath and took 3 times of going over to get someone to check and 2 hours before someone came to check. we were moved to another room but could not open windows as they were not safe. Food was average but cold all the time. Bar shut at 11pm.Not much entertainment for adults in the evening. 93 steps down to the beach. Not much transport tot own. Would not be going back toAlgarve

“Terrible experience at Aquamarina I Beach hotel”

We stayed 3 nights at the Aquamarina I Beach hotel in November 2005 and I must say it was not any nice experience. Everything (the lobby, corridors, rooms) smells an awful smell of old cigarette smoke. Rooms are very old and dirty, as are the bathrooms. I have seen two rooms on the 2nd floor (ours and our friend's), so I don't know whether they have any cleaner/newer rooms of rooms of better standard. We were supposed to have a desert-view rooms and there was an extra charge if one wanted a sea-view. I'm not sure whether the sea-view upgrade would mean an upgrade o a cleaner option. I doubt.

The hotel beach was a total joke! A few square metres of concrete with several sunbeds & dirty mattresses, surrounded with a smell of boat oil...
