I'd be happy to write a review on the Mina Hotel, which we had a great experience with - but we need the name changed first (or this name removed and start a fresh).

I travelled with an agency, we reserved in Aquamarina IV, but when we arrived there (we were a large group of 30 persons), they told us that there's no reservation here , so we walked with our luggage at 11:00pm to Aquamarina II.
they made us wait one hour to distribute rooms for all the group. Some single people got a double room. Everything was messed up.
room size and location are very good.
When i entered the room, i tried to turn on the lamp, the electric wire caused a sparkle, a fog and odor then went off, so all night we stayed without electricity except from the bathroom.

bathrooms are left unclean with strong bad odor.
bed sheets and cushions were left irreplaced , covered with remaining of human hair. burkkk

towels were not clean.
the carpet were full of cigarette waste, dust and hair.
thanks God i stayed for 1 night.
the only thing that i liked was the hairdryer :D

the food is good, the lunch was a variety and tasty

there's no pool
this hotel is in good location in middle of aqaba but far from the beach

Due to unforeseen circumstances (eg the hotel we originally booked via Octopus did not have our booking and thus we had no bed, as the hotel was full.) we had to find new accommodation. We walked around Aqaba and looked at a few places when we found Aquamarina II –this was the only place that had 2 nights free….we now understand why!!!!
We were quoted on booking in $93 US per night and when I suggested I would pay straight away the front of house “gentleman” said no just pay when leaving.
Word to the wise…when you are quoted a price which seems reasonable pay it or get it in writing…because on leaving the price changed…..we did clarify initially the price (six times) to make sure that there was no misunderstanding …$93 US per night.
Came to pay and suddenly the price had changed to 93 Dinars which was almost one and half times the price…this left a very bad taste in our mouth and soured our experience in Jordan which prior to this was great…..such as Wadi Rum and Petra (just wonderful).
The accommodation was average, bed acceptable, bathroom OK but as we are non smokers even when requested a non smoking room we ended up with a smoking room.
So avoid this place….there are simply better places around and ones that do not rip off tourists and change prices.

Incredibly rude service, charged for things they said were free, the staff were smoking in the "non-smoking" restaurant, too noisy to sleep in, failed to arrange a dive I had booked 3 weeks in advance....if you want to have a nice stay in Aqaba, pay more and stay at a 4 or 5 star place with a private beach, you'll be glad you did.
