Although the rooms are fairly decent, I'd suggest that this hotel is avoided (unless you're diving as it is near a number of dive operators, however it's a sizeable distance from the beach) this is perhaps the most shambolic hotel in terms of service I've ever stayed in, and my two mates who stayed in a separate room also agreed as it was just a catalogue of errors of ridiculous proportions such as:
- On being assigned a room, my mates arrived at their room to find the smell of sewage to be unbearable, so asked to move rooms. After being assigned a different room, the smell was even worse in this room so had to be re-assigned. Third time lucky
- The windows of the wall are waifer thin, so be prepared to be woken at around 5am with the call to prayer, and then again around 7am when the school next door starts its morning singing lessons!!
- We had to wait around for about 10 minutes at a time to get served in the hotel bar as staff weren't around, and then upon paying (and this happened on two occasions) the hotel bar didn't have any change so another wait of 10-15 minutes occurred which is a bit frustrating when you just want to hit the town
- On leaving leaving some laundry in at 8.30am for 'dry cleaning' it was 9pm before it was returned (even though the laundry slip stated it would be by 6pm), and even though I'd specifically stated 'dry cleaning' the clothes came back damp - clearly an attempt to put it through the cheaper laundry service (and charge my dry cleaning rates) however they couldn't be bothered to dry it off properly!! I have to admire their cheekiness on this one in a way, but I wasn't laughing when I didn't have any clean dry clothes to wear the next day!
There were a few more incidents than those I've stated above however I can't remember them off the top of my head.
The only + points of this hotel were that the breakfast was reasonable and as stated above the hotel is located near a number of dive operators but that's about it. Oh yeah, they also have a parrot by the reception if that's your thing - seemed to amuse a number of guests that's for sure
