Um yeah, this hotel is undergoing extensive renovations. They are starting on the bottom floor, which means you get to walk through the construction on the way to your car, to the elevator and to the make shift breakfast room.
The construction guys are nice enough and they do keep the noise to the hours of 7am-6pm but the website did not mention this construction at all when I booked (through Marriott.com).
While I was here, my nails were breaking right and left so I asked the front desk if they had a nail file. Nope. Later, I noticed that their make shift area where they sell sodas listed a nail clipper (for a fee). Would have been nice if she had remembered that was an option.
I did eat breakfast here three out of the four mornings of my stay and it was meh. They did have eggs and bacon/sausage each day, which was the purpose for me eating there (you try finding protein when you travel...). The bacon was crispy but I seriously wondered how long the scrambled eggs had been there as the room was never even half full. They also offered really good rye bread and assorted pastries (which I didn't try) along with juice, coffee and soda (if you ask). The breakfast room was BRIGHT with florescent lights--kinda blinding when you first get down there.
Plus: Free, strong, WiFi. Free parking. Front desk has delivery menus for local businesses for dinner.
Room Tip: The construction should be done by March they said. Until that, just request you have a floor betwee...
