The girls at reception - Sally & Tammy & Yummy (their nicknames, obviously) - are simply amazing! They went above & beyond the call of duty to make sure I had a great stay in Hoi An.

They gave me all kinds of insider tips to the city (e.g. local non-touristy restaurants) and even accompanied me in person when I had special requests (One example: I wanted to visit a nearby orphanage and spend some time with the kids, but no-one there spoke English. Tammy came and translated for me and it was a very meaningful experience)

I had planned on staying for 3 or 4 days, but ended up spending 6 days at the hotel.

NOTE: Please be aware that what you read in other reviews is true: The place needs an overhaul, the lighting is not great, and yes, when you take a shower the water will run onto the floor unless you put a little towel there to stop it.

But all that being said I will STILL give this place a top review because the staff is so wonderful!

We stayed here for 3 nights in January 2012. The reception staff were very nice. They remembered our names!! The room was alright. It was clean and tidy. Our laundry got done within a day. A downfall of this hotel is its the location. You need to walk about 10-15 minutes to get into the main part of Hoi An. However, the hotel offers bicycle hire if you wish to go exploring around town or go to the beach (approx. 3kms). Don't get custom made shoes from the first shoe store on the left in the main street from the hotel, the quality of their shoes is questionable and they use really cheap materials.

We stayed for one night here during our 11 day Vietnam-Camboadia tour. We were two couples . We arrived fairly early in the morning after a early morning flight from Saigon - the staff directed us to breakfast while they got one of our rooms ready.

Breakfast was good but a little limited in choice (compared to huge buffets you find in some of the places). Rooms were huge, beds were big enough to fit 4 and the bathroom was clean. Room had a desktop PC as well but the WiFi connection in our room was a little wonky.

We rented 3 cycles and a moto from a friendly lady next door (cheaper than renting from hotel itself) and were in the heart of Old Hoi An in less than 2 min; we could have walked the distance in less than 10 min.

Overall the stay was pleasant and i would definitely recommend this place in Hoi An.

The staffs super-friendly way felt too unnatural to appeal to me. I'd prefer if they'd remember my room number more than my name. Hotel has seen its best days and is worn, though well kept and with flowers in the room. Major complain was a very loud sound from a large fan or something like that that could start for 10-20 min in the middle of the night and wake me up. I think this only is a problem on the forth floor. Also had some problem with the toilets flushing mechanism which I fixed myself as I thought that would be faster than asking the staff to do it. The price seems a bit too high, but maybe that is because it is in Hoi An?
