I was very happy with my stay here. I arrived early in the morning after an overnight bus. The staff rushed to get a room ready well before normal checkin. The whole time I was there the staff was so friendly and helpful, they refused tips and went out of there way to help. Traveling on my own I think they were always watching out for me.
The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms very clean, everything worked well.
The location is about 10 minutes from the historic area but easily and safely walkable.
Hoi an is a must see in Vietnam and this hotel is worth it.
With respect to tailors.. shop around. The prices should be pretty similar, maybe a bit more at the big fancy ones, but 100-150 a suit is the max you should pay unless you're buying zegna material or equivalent. that said I wouldn't trust designer stuff there most are copies. The best bet with tailors is to find a store which has material you like and then pay only half up front so they have incentive to alter the suit as many times is needed.
