Stayed here for 3 nights in Nov and I have never, encountered such rude reception staff i all my travels, anywhere. We had 2 rooms booked, one twin and triple. Upon check - in we were asked who was to stay in wich room, so i divided our passports into 2 piles, of 2 and 3, smiling, and saying it didn't really matter as we were a group of 5 girls and normally just let the porters choose our rooms. i.e they would drop off our suitcases randomly, 2 in one room 3 in the other and we would just stay in the room that our suitcase ended up in. It seemed a fair way to decide and had been working for us up untl then/. Anyway.. as soon as I turned my back, the girl at the reception was imitating me with "it doesn't eally matter." to her friend. I couldn't believe my ears and neither could my friends but we let it go as the manager came over to explain breakfastand bike hire etc etc. It was quite unbelievable, we hadn't even left the reception area and she tries to make fun of me in my own language!!

After that the rest of the stay was fine, until the last day, but I would say that the staff need more training. The restaurant managers were great, but the staff most of the time just seemed to chat amongst themselves most of the time not doing much, while there were plates piling up on our table which hadn't been collected for ages and the managers were running around off their feet, doing what looked like the waitress/waitresses job.

On the last day we paid for a late checkout, which was 50% of the room rate and said we would be checking out at 3.30pm as our car was arriving at 3.45pm to take us to the airport. At 2pm we went down to the bar and ordered baileys coffees and food which came to a total of over 1.2 mil. At 3.30pm exactly the reception manageress came over to tell us to check-out which we found incredebly rude as we were already paying the bill at that point and were planning to go up to our room and if we were 5 -10 mins late checking out, it would only have been because we were spending money in their hotel bar, plus we were paying for the late check-out. It would have been different if we'd come back from a different bar!

I complained upon checkout to said manageress who had a scould on her face until she noticed the general manager behind me. He took on board our complaints and apoligized sincerely but with so many nice hotels in the area, I def wouldn't stay there again, neither could I ever recommend it. It does have a nice view though. I think I will choose somewhere closer to town next time though.

We have stayed in this resort 4 nights in September.
There were not many people occupying the hotel and thanks to this fact we got nice discount for our room.
We had stunning view on the river and its second bank with peasants working on the fields and fishermen trying to catch something from the boats.
The locations of the houses is perfect. On the riverside, among the park trees and palms. with comfortable balconies.
We were very satisfied with the rooms service, restaurant and receptions desk staff.
All of them are very friendly and helpful.
The quality of breakfasts is good, but dinners not very atractiv and relatively expensive. That`s why we used the nice small restaurants close to the resort .
The location of the hotel, is very convenient. In the suburb of Hoi Ann / about 3 km/, but also not far to the beautiful, wide beaches./ about 2 km /. The easiest way to reach any place is to hire the bike, which costs 1-2 USD per day. Scooter, is the other option but with mandatory helmets for the users.
Generally, we were very satisfied with our choice, both concerning Hoi Ann visit and accomodation in the River Beach Resort.

We booked family rooms at this hotel which are ideal if you are travelling with young children. You actually get two large adjoining roomswith balony overlooking the river.
Staff are super friendly; regular shuttle bus service is very useful although taxis are so cheap it doesn't matter if you miss the bus.
Only minor issue we had was that we replaced water in the mini bar with a different brand to that used by the hotel and they charged us for it! We weren't advised of this at check in so be careful if you want to avoid paying mini bar prices!
