“Ordinary”

Old dated building, bed well over due for replacement, both sides of bed worn out huge hump in the middle, our room was meant to be a deluxe room, I would hate to see a standard room. Tour booking desk was not very helpful, I wanted to hire a motor bike, response was a grunt and pointing to the street. Then she went back to the Internet, really felt like I had interrupted something important on the Internet, maybe she was looking for a new job. Lots of creepy old men walking around with no shirts on.

Thank you very much for your comments, your review helps us to continuously improve facilities and services where needed.
I have taken note of your comment regarding the bed. For your information, we continue to change all the mattress in our Deluxe Room.
Concerning the Tour Desk, I'm very sorry to heard that about this behavior not the reality of our staff. In generally, clients want to hire motorbike, they get by themselves, only for safety of guest.

Once again, thank you very much for your comments and it will be a great to welcome you again in Hoi An

“Could be a good Beach Hotel, but not for us!”

We stayed there during the recent flood in mid Vietnam. It is a lovely beach resort. Due to the weather conditions, we could not utilize the pool and the beach. The resort is beautifully kept in terms of the garden and beach area. Rooms are spacious, sea view, big balcony. Bathroom is large. Jacuzi type of bath tub. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good. Arrival area is lovely. We had a dinner at the resort one night and it was a very good Seafood. Happy to stay there! Distance to the Hoi An city. Taxi is not expensive. Hoi An is the best city in Vietnam in terms of UNTOUCHED...Lİke a movie stage! Impressive city. Go to Bambou Shop to buy good quality t-shirts in the town! Downtown restaurants are very good also!

Room Tip: Seaview with a big balcony room if possible!

“Second time here in two years - just as good the second time :)”

Stayed 7 nights in August 2010 and 7 night in January 2012. Perfect location on the beach and only a $3 taxi ride (including tip) to the old city itself. Courtesy buses from the resort are also excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities are clean and fresh. If you can afford a little extra - definitely stay in a beach front villa, they are superb. The breakfast is one of the best I have experienced around Asia with something for everybody. January is cooler so we didnt get to enjoy the pool or beach but we knew that when we booked, Still, it was 21C at night and about 23C during the day - great for shopping my wife will tell you :( hehehe

“Nice place to stay near Hoi An”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

We stayed at the Victoria Beach Resort during Chinese New Year 2011. Our experience at the hotel was dampened by poor weather and overshadowed by the charming town of Hoi An, but overall it was a pleasant stay in a good location.

We were traveling with our then 9-month-old daughter, so we originally booked an oceanview suite with a sitting area – thinking that would allow her space for naps and early bedtimes without cramping our style. Turns out the sitting area is actually between the bed/main room and the bathroom, defeating the purpose. So after one night we moved to two connecting rooms. All of the rooms were clean, modern and well-appointed.

Rainy season hung on longer than expected, so we didn’t spend much time at the resort’s beach or pool, but both were very nice. We enjoyed our walks on the beach (even if we were all bundled up.)

The hotel is fairly kid-friendly, though I imagine older children might run out of things to do (especially if it’s colder). The kids room is small and set up more for younger ones.

The hotel is located on a fairly quite stretch of beach, but there are a few seafood shacks within walking distance that are very good. Food at resort is solid, if overpriced.

The best part about the Victoria was its regular shuttle service in and out of Hoi An town. We made the five minute ride several times a day. The town itself is fabulous – delicious food, beautiful wares, great markets. We’d go back in a heartbeat. (If you have toddlers, keep in mind it is not stroller friendly. Our daughter was in the Ergo carrier the entire time!)

If you can catch good weather, Victoria would be a lovely home base to explore Hoi An.
