Just looking at the front facade of the hotel made me feel squeamish. Green Field hotel is pretty much the embodiment of the cheap, flashy tourism that has infested much of Hoi An. It's not too expensive, but honestly, you get what you pay for. The bathrooms aren't flash, and if you're coming to Hoi An for a bit of luxury, stay well away!
However, the service is charming, and anything but cheap and flashy. When learning that it was one of my fellow travellers' birthday, the staff proudly presented her with a hotel wallet, and were friendly and approachable.
Overall, the Green Field Hotel is nothing special, and hardly a memorable place to stay. There are better hotels in Hoi An. But, if you're just looking for a reasonably cheap place to rest your head, only a short bike ride or leisurely walk from the attractions of town, then you should have no problems at all.
