Emirates Palace was my first point of call in Sharjah, so til then I thought it was an okay place. The rooms were spacious but nothing too luxurious for the price. My view faced on to another apartment building so I didn't really keep much of the windows open. The rooms were okay but nothing too comfortable. Despite the sunny warm climate of the gulf, when I stayed here I felt it was too dark for my liking, and the ambience of the hotel was not really warm as in other places. I ended up moving to Mag and paid a bit more, but I felt the ambience was better suited. In short, not a bad hotel but nothing to great for the hefty price you're paying. Alternatively in Sharjah, if you're there for the beach or the culture, head to a hotel on the coast, as you'll get better views and more facilities for the same price
