We spent 1 week on the beach in Sharjah. We found this hotel on the Internet and took a chance. Well, what a good choice. If you're looking for excitement...forget it! But sand, sea and relaxation...this is the place.

Our room was humongous...ceramic tiles on the floor, queen-size bed, with a (dry) bar, large patio doors opening up onto a balcony overlooking the largest swimming pool in the UAE. The bathroom was very spacious and modern. That warm water in the toilet was... well...interesting!

The pool was extremely clean and warm. No problem doing laps. Lots of sun loungers available, but you need to get some shady locations early in the morning; just put a towel on your reserved chair and it will be there when you need it.

The beach was very nice, the water warm. However, there seemed to be too many chairs and loungers in a smaller area.

The restaurant had a great selection, including a large breakfast buffet; very reasonably-priced.

Just be aware, at the time we were there, the place was full of Russians. In fact, Dubai is also overrun with Russians. We were told that Russians even h ave their own airport outside of Dubai. With so many of them there at once, they can try to be domineering, but a simple "nyet" does the trick.

Again . . . excellent value and safe!!!
