We have stayed in Sharjah Grand hotel for 2 times, once in october 2009 and the last time in MAy 2010. Wle like this hotel. The hotel is very clean, the staff is very friendly and supportive whenever you ask them for anything.
Most of the staff is speaking russian, which is a plus for visitors from Russia, but at the same time they speak English, French, which was very good for us particulalry.
The beach is clean, the pool is clean but very very small. On thise days, when it was forbidden to swim in the sea, there was a crowd near the pool.
The kitchen is not an excellent one, the same can be told for the brekfast-very small and limited choice.
It could be better if they could improve the quality and assortement of the breakfast. In this case, the hotel could be ranked as an exellent one.

Well half the hotel' name is correct as at least it is in Sharjah!
Arrived and checked into our room and checked out for another hotel the same day.
Hotel is tatty. Reception dated and sruffy. Rooms VERY basic with stained carpets. Musty smelling. Small pool and narrow beach so very crowded. Restaurant mediocre.
At least the staff were pleasent!

We have just returned from a five days stay at the Grand Hotel Sharjah. The hotel is at a good and quiet location, by the beach, ideal for a romantic getaway and only 20 minutes away from Dubai (without traffic that is!). We had a sea view room. Room was very spacious and gerenally good. Cleaning service was poor as room was not adequately cleaned and bathroom amenities were not refilled on a daily basis. The beach was FANTASTIC, lovely environment, very relaxing and romantic. The swimming pool was great, very clean. We extremely enjoyed swiimming and sunbathing. Staff was extra helpful, pleasant and willing to fullfil every wish. Business centre was very disappointing. Only ttwo PC's and when we faced a problem the hotel's IT people were unable to solve, we therefore gave up! When we checked in reception kept our passports. Keep in mind that when we made our reservation we gave our credit card number for cancellation purposes, so what's the need of keeping the passports?? When we checked out and payed the bill, reception refused to return our passports as they had to check the mini bar! We waited and waited and they finally told us that we had to pay an additional amount for two small bottles of water in order to get our passports back!!!!??? It not easy to describe this hotel as it has a bit of everything in a good sense but without giving you the feeling of luxury. We wanted to enjoy our 5 days and we did as Dubai has a lot to offer....
