I booked Sharjah Rotana Hotel with Asiatravel.com for me and my family. I got email confirmation that I'll be charged on arrival at the Hotel and that I'll be charged AED 229.50 (all inclusive) for one night. But they charged me instantly after booking and if I had not seen my credit card transactions online, I would not have known that I have already been charged. And the worst part came when I saw the amount, they charged me 20% higher AED 275.50 for this booking. I kept calling Asiatravel.com & Sharjah Rotana hotel from morning till night with no response or responsibility from their side, everytime they said they'll get back to me to resolve this issue but I never got a call back from either side. I only heard excuses from them that the concerned reservation staff is not around now or may be there was a system error that they need to check.
Overall 3rd class customer service. Please avoid at all cost as you can.

Stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. Staff were all very helpful and polite. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet was great, had dinner in the restaurant one night as well, which was ok, buffet again so got plenty. Didnt use the gym but the pool was nice. There is wired internet access in each room, but it isnt cheap, it was 25 AED for an hour, so didnt use it much.

Sharjah itself is nice, less developed than Dubai, and there is a few places not too far from the hotel worth visiting,and if you want the hotel will arrange trips and activities, although we just planned things ourself. The hotel runs shuttle buses into Dubai twice a day, 1030 and 1200 I think it was, with returning buses at 1530 and 2000. We only used the bus once as we had a rental car, which I would advise as essential to see the most of Dubai and Sharjah, else you will be waiting on the buses and still having to get taxis between the different areas of the city. The drive from Sharjah into Dubai took anywhere between 20 and 80 minutes traffic dependent. The hotel has an underground car park with a lift to the reception so it is very easy and convenient. The hotel also includes access to a Beach Club, which they also run buses to, but we never used this so cannot comment.

Friendly staff, very good breakfast buffet and also good food in the restaurant for a very good price, and a free parking place if you have a car with you. But the location was not the best.

Stayed at Sharjah for 15 days.Nice hotel for business and leisure . Pool,Gym, Restaurant, accessibility to other parts of the city, proximity to some shopping areas, shuttle to Dubai Citycenter,etc..Rooms( stayed in King classic) are pretty ok but not very spacious . Maintained well . But privacy was bit low as I could over hear everything from the adjacent room. House keeping was good. Did have food from the hotel restaurant (1st floor) only for few times. Food was ok, but looked the same all the days only with slight variations, especially the breakfast. There are much better restaurants, both tasty and lighter to the pocket, within a 10AED taxi drive(minimum charge).One surprising thing is that the bell boys ,with an exception of 1 person, were not very friendly nor used to wish/smile at guests. After staying in hotels like W, 4 Seasons, Movenpick this was a let down. One felt un welcomed at times. Had stayed in Rotana Dubai and there it was much better.Reception is sparse but effective. The attention to details was missing. Spelling mistakes in the notes etc. Attaching a photo. Did not expect this from a 4 star hotel.
