“Couple with 2 young kids in Feb 2012 - thanks Sam, Tatiana and Roselee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

We stayed here in Feb 2012 and are a couple with two small daughter (ages 4 & 1). We'll be going back in the future.

Our standard room was on the 2nd floor (reception level), had two queen size beds, excellent finishing and had a great view over the palm trees out towards the sea. I'd probably recommend being 4th floor or above if you really love your views.

Before arriving I had lots of boring questions that needed answering. Tatiana on reception was brilliant for this and was hugely helpful when we were there.

The service was fantastic with a special mention going to Sam from Togo who made up our room every day. He was always smiling away and the little touch of making a different shaped animal out of towels left on our 4 year-old's bed every day was a lovely touch.

The grounds are truly spectacular with loads of brilliant pools (some heated some not), a water-slide for the kids (and me) and the sandy cove was stunning.

We didn't try any of the restaurants apart from the buffet because there was no need. We're not even buffet people and tend to get bored but there was no chance of that here. Every night had a different theme and the choice was just incredible. The staff in the restaurant were fantastic with the kids - especially Roselee with the white-rimmed glasses who we're very thankful for keeping our 1 year-old amused for a few mins every night so we got to eat together even briefly.

The one slight disappointment was the restaurant manager, Zawareh, who curtailed a priceless moment of child innovation as a bunch of them started rearranging the kids corner chairs to play a game. It was a shame for several sets of parents that night and he doesn't respond well to customer feedback either.

All-in-all this place is great and well worth the drive out of Dubai. I hope they keep the standards high for many years to come as this place is excellent.

Room Tip: Sea-side at least 4th floor and above in the main hotel for the best 180 degree sea-view. The villas...

“Fantastic Hotel to get away from it all”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

I had a very enjoyable four day three night short break at this clean, well run, friendly, very safe hotel. All the staff from Security, Reception, Cleaners, Beach, Waiters and so on were friendly and extremely helpful. I flew in from Saudi Arabia, where I work, whilst my wife flew in from UK (with her sister and our 8 year old nephew) for her first her visit to the Middle East. She was here for the sun and beach and we both were here to relax and catch up. I was upgraded to a villa suite with fantastic view of the beach less than 30 seconds walking distance. My sister in law and nephew stayed in the main hotel in a ground floor room which opened up to well kept grounds and a 30 second or less walk to the pool. The completely private beach was extremely well looked after and there were life guards during the whole time we were there. The few negative points; no free wifi in the room (I paid 15 sterling for 48 hours), its very difficult to find (I drove from Dubai - took me about 90 minutes) and outside the resort my wife felt very uncomfortable with the Middle East culture (less so in Dubai itself). We are planning coming again in September and bringing our 21and 19 year old kids!

Room Tip: When you buy direct from the Hotel take up the option to upgrade. I went from a standard room to Vil...

Dear Stevennewman1,

How pleasing it is to read your well written accolades of our resort, our team members and your overall enjoyment you and your family had being here with us during your short stay.

Your comments are so detailed and I thank you again for taking your time to give your feedback to us. I have already conveyed your feedback to the team who will be glad to know that his efforts contributed to your enjoyable stay.

As previously explained in one of my response on TripAdvisor, the wifi is available in the main public of the resort while it is not yet the case in the rooms on the beach chalets (only wire connection).

I truly hope to welcome you back in the not so distant future. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any assistance in the future.

Kind regards.

“A visit to UAE”

Just come back from a week at this resort. The hotel was stunning and the resort had something for everyone. Our room was luxurious with fantastic views. The food in all the restaurants were superb. The breakfasts caterered for all tastes. The service and friendliness of the staff was outstanding. Just one comment. No free WiFi in the room only in the lobby, but I could live with that. Our virgin rep was really helpful and arranged a day trip into Dubai. This is a must. A trip up the tallest tower is a must. All in all a great trip. Would we go back again, most definitely.
