we spent one night at this hotel . The staff in reception was helpful and friendly , we have been upgraded to a superior deluxe room. This hotel is perfect for a beach family vacation it offers a lovely atmosphere from ur balcony in the room to the lobby , the sand and the beach.U can enjoy a drink at ''le chalet'' or a ride in the kayak at the sunset.

I stayed here recently with work and wasn't disappointed, not just because I wasn't paying. The room I stayed in was in a villa about 5 minutes walk from the main building and was spacious, clean and well furnished. In fact, the bed was one of the largest and most comfortable I have ever slept in.

The grounds and communal areas were well maintained and picturesque. There was also a great selection of restaurants to dine in, offering a large selection of different dishes. The staff were also really friendly and knowledgeable.

The only negatives were that the "entertainment" in the bar, a couple of very loud singers, was not really conducive to having a pleasant drink. Also, there are internal doors inside the villas which, when shut, can't be opened by the room key cards. Although not strictly the fault of the hotel, I found myself locked out of my room by the couple staying next to mine on a couple of occassions. Plus, the WiFi was also quite expensive and, although it worked in the communal areas, I couldn't connect to the router in my room.

Overall a lovely hotel.

We were offered this hotel for three nights before we went on a cruise. The staff in reception was most helpful, friendly, you couldn't fault them. Super breakfast. Lovely big rooms with view to the pools and the gulf. Dinner was a bit of a disaster.Half of the restaurants were closed on Sunday. Many people were there on half board basis and for them there was a buffet at GBP 25.00 each. We aren't big eaters and did not really want to spent that amount of money on food that we did not want to eat. The only choice we had was the Italian restaurant. The food is quite good but many people tried to eat there and the staff could not very easily cope. The buffet is normally held outside, but the weather was not good, very windy, so the buffet people wanted to eat in the same place - a bit of a nightmare.
Apart from this, we could not fault the hotel - it is a 5star, definitely.
There is a shopping mall not very far away by taxi, but that is all! If you want a beach holiday, that's ok, not much sightseeing, unless you want to travel a long way in a taxi, and then I don't know what you might find there, I was told it is mostly business and high rise buildings.

Enjoyed our stay at the Alhamra Fort at Christmas 2011, spacious clean rooms, beautiful gardens, food good. Staff pleasant and friendly. Would love to go back one day.
