My sister and l loved the Airport Guesthouse. In addition to good food and a comfortable room the birding on the grounds while enjoying a beer or dining in the evening was an extra treat. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the botanical gardens were beautiful. We were given a ride there by the Guesthouse driver and walked back. Our trip to Mabamba swamp to see the Shoebill (and other birds), arranged by the Airport Guesthouse was successful and fun. A wonderful start to a great first visit to Uganda.

Comfortable room... great atmosphere... outdoor dining. Very convenient short trip to the airport (5 mins).

Meals very good (set menu set price). great value for money.

Tip: bring Uganda shilling for an even better price (less than $50US for a double!)

Very charming courtyard, some of the rooms in the back house are small and drab, but the larger ones overlooking the courtyard are very nice. Very friendly staff, nice "safari style" dinner set up outside, good food, a bit far from town but you can manage to get a ride to the old colonial town center and the great botanical gardens with the great jungle where Tarzan was filmed.

Lovely rooms; lovely garden; helpful and friendly staff; great meals...esp dinner in the garden; convenient for the Wildlife Education Centre (zoo), Botanical Gardens, Lake Victoria; airport transfer guy helped me buy Ugandan SIM and airtime at the airport; comfortable, welcoming, felt v much at home. Will most definitely go there again. Great place to recover from the jetlag before setting off on a Ugandan adventure!
