“Not a good option”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I stayed three nights in a big apparently nice bedroom. However, there were lots of "BUTs". Air conditioning is nothing but a noisy fan. Carpet was not vacuumed over my stay. Flush at the toilet expelled water out on the floor. Although I reported several times, the leak was still there when I check out. You got a feeling of being cheated when bills are presented: plenty of extra charges that increase the final amount.

I would never recommend this hotel although the surroundings are great.

“Beach is the best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

Almost towards the airport, so blue and looking cute. A hotelmanaged by indians in Uganda.the blue appearence gives it an exotic look but its not cute save for the fact that its at the lake Victoria shores, it has poor customeer care the toilets at the beach mainly at the beach are always flooded and if one is wearing open shoes they can easily get sick form there. the beach is realy cute with white sand and lovely music but i wdnt advise any one to spend a nite in this Hotel. enjoy the beach and go somewhere to sleep.

Room Tip: unless it is the last floor but no way

“Nice location near Lake Victoria”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

Nice hotel on shore of lave Victoria meeting most of my needs. Made use of a free swimming pool in the grounds though gaining entry was rather bureacratic (got passed through several people in the process of being signed in for a swim). Also went for a swim in the Lake, nice but kept it short in case I met any nasties

Hotel internally generally fine though WIFI internet was very patchy

“Nice but not as good as the Speke Resort in Kampala”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2011

We returned to Uganda after 4 years and this time satyed at this large hotel / resort. By coincidence, I re-watched The Last King of Scotland last night and saw this hotel in the movie. It's large, situated in a good location on Lake Victoria, and a short distance to Entebbe Int'l Airport.

The staff was always great. The food was above average. The rooms were large but dated. The AC didn't seem to work well and probably was centrally controlled. The windows opened to let fresh air in and we had a view the gardens and beach.

There is an outdoor bar and small grill in the gardens next to the beach. Nice for a cold beer and sunset after a long day of touring. There are a few small shops adjacent to the hotel selling the usual tourist stuff and for booking safaris. We noticed several airline crews and World Wildlife Fund staffers using this hotel.

The interior of the hotel is somewhat dated, the carpets and drapes smell old, but it is very clean. However, by comparison, the Speke Resort in Kampala is a better facility.

“average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

the hotel is not too far from the airport.they do offer transport to the airport for 10USD one way.
the rooms are quite large. we had both shower and bath but the shower wasn't too clean-walls needed a little more scrubbing.
the food wasn't too bad considering it is locally oriented.
the staff were quite helpful thought not all.
communication might prove to be a challenge as English is not the first language for many Ugandans.
the resort is not too inviting and is better for business meetings and not so much for family oriented trips.
be ready for security checks that may be quite annoying at a point.
there are taxis readily available within town and at the airport so movement is not a problem. too great either.
not a bad place to stay but
