We stayed last year in Kösk, and found it quite nice and charming - especially the furniture mix of old-fashioned real wood, and moderne fake-leather armchairs. The room was spacious. The staff nice and helpful, carried our bags.
This time was rather a disappointment: staff indifferent, no help with bags, smaller room, all furniture new, stark, formica. We were 2 people, found towels and slippers for one person only, and the toilet paper almost non-existent. Called for more toilet paper, towels + slippers, had to call twice, waited more than an hour. In the meantime discovered that the safety box didn't work, and that the very well hidden remote for the air condition didn't work either. When a waiter finally showed up, he tried to fix the safe, but didn't manage. The remote just needed batteries.
Breakfast last time had been great, this time not so great. Several choices, but ... No real juice, just Tang. Nescafe, as usual. After we had eaten and were ready to go, the waitress suddenly materialized, asking whether we would like Turkish coffee? Ahhh, yeah, we might have wanted it like half an hour ago!
On top of all, they refused to give a receipt other than the credit card slip.
