I have just got back from the Onay appartments and found them good. They arent the best ive seen but definately not the worst. I mean how much time do you really spend in ur room on holiday anyway. The kitchen was pathetic but i didnt have any intention of cooking while i was on holiday anyway so that didnt matter. We had a room in the attic, i think it was one of the worst rooms but i didnt care cuz i only paid £30 for the whole week. Air con is £21 for a week definately worth it. Owners are nice, dont speak much english at all but u kinda get what there tryin to say. Their Sons Speak alright english though. Theres no lift which is rubbish especially coz we were on the top floor, least we got a good workout.

The pool area is really small but i think thats normal for appartments that size in marmaris. They do food at the bar which is alright.

The Location is great!! 5 mins from beach and clubs an bars. The main bar street is about a 25 minute walk but the strip near the beach is better.

I wouldnt recommend these appartments for families, but if your young and lookin for a lively holiday and not gonna spend a huge amount of time in your room its ideal.

we have just stayed at Onay (arrived home - 11-07-08) and found it ok. the hotel staff were very helpful on arrival carrying our bags up two flights of stairs.(no lift)

our room was clean and very spacious. we were there on a s/c rate, the kitchen and seating area separate to bedroom, but both having a balcony. the hotel was in a fantastic location, near to all you need, want and more!! less than two minutes walk to the beach, bars, restaurants, and shops etc etc.

the hotel manager has a great sense of humour and where his english maybe a little limited!! his eldest sons` english is very good.

we opted to pay extra for a/c which cost us £21 for the entire week and well worth it at this time of year as temperatures were in excess of 42 degrees most days!!
the pool area although a little small was clean and well equiped ie bar and sun beds etc.

the only down side was that the kitchen area was not very well equiped if we had wanted to cook and also we were not able to keep our room on after check out time (12.00) even at offer of extra charge, but were however allowed to leave our luggage in hotel reception until our transport to airport arrived.
we would stay there again.

We satayed in the Onay appartments for 2 weeks in September/ October 2007.The location is great for getting about.The rooms we stayed in were very spacious,but thats where the good points end.We have been to Marmaris 14 times but never have we been the only guests staying in the hotel.The pool was not very inviting as the filters were turned off,the bar wasfenced off with metal caging,and the owners could not speak English.After 10 nights we left and went to stay with Turkish friends........Just to add........Turkey has become very expensive....
