We travelled as a young couple in peak season and stayed for two weeks, we got a very cheap AI deal, so we didn't set our expectations too high. All though our expectations were not greatly surpassed, everything was adequate (room, food and entertainment). Some staff were nice, others weren't chatty at all, but we didn't think of it as rudeness so much as slight cultural differences. The air con stopped working one night, we rang reception and it was fixed within 45 minutes. You get what you pay for, this is a cheap hotel, don't expect the earth, but a nice stay.

On arrival at the hotel, I was expecting a greeting of some form. We had to walk in past the busy swimming pool to the reception. We were barely given any acknowledgement, let alone a "heelo" or "welcome to Turkey". Our room was on the 2nd floor, so we had to brave the lift, which was a death trap. Our room was filthy, and basic to say the least. The Aircon unit was attached with filler, the bathroom door was cracked glass and the bathroom itself looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the 70's. The fridge warmed up anything you put in it and the TV didn't work. Having stayed a few days, we quickly realised that the housekeeper was work shy and we only had our room "Cleaned" twice and even then she only swapped the pillow cases for stained ones. Having been informed it was a 4 * resort I was very disappointed to find that all drinks except local vodka and soft drinks were chargable, pool snacks were also chargable and the restaurant was shocking!!! Barely open for more than an hour at a time, the food choice was limited to say the least. For 1 breakfast I was subjected to cold baked beans and bread, as there was no toaster on offer. Water from the machine came out warm and none of the food was labelled. To top it all off, the staff for the most part were rude, totally uninterested and very unhelpful. This holiday was not cheap and we then had to spend £300 eating out elsewhere for fear of food poisoning. I can not stress enough how bad this place is. Marmaris was a beautiful place with lovely people, but you wouldn't know it staying here!!!

Do not book this hotel,Just got back but i read the reviews before i went, and i did not believe them i wish i would of done now, Expected to find a 4 star hotel, but found it being 2 star at most! Staff was very ignorant, Very run down hotel. Reception staff, Beyond ignorant! Not suitable for children, supposed to of been all inclusive, food great if you love chicken and boiled eggs, and there not very nice either. Entertainment Was free but they came round with an hat to collect money. Pool, Tiles in the pool was loose, and very sharp, also never been in a pool so cold. Dining restaurant Chairs are very dirty and damp. Seating in the outdoor area alot are broke, and unsafe to sit in, Not enough chairs, people having to stand. food and drink very poor. Go to the bar, ask for a drink all they do is pour you a plastic beaker and put it on the counter for you. no please, no thankyou, smile, nothing. Payed for all inclusive, paid an absolute fortune going out for food and drink, and also to socialise with the workers. The lifts was outrageous. One of them, no inner doors. Second one never work, The third one worked sometimes kept breaking down,my mum and dad are 75 and they was stuck in the lift for over 15 minutes, and still had to wait 10 minutes for the staff to respond. On the good side of this hotel, The photographer was great, fred, A good laugh, easy to get along with. Back to negative, after leaving the do not disturb sign on the door so the cleaners did not come in our room while we was out, they then ignored the sign and still came in our rooms to clean it. Take it from us, We ignored the bad reviews and then had a bad holiday because of it. Dont go to this hotel!

Having arrived at 2 am at Sun Maris City we were told we were transfering to Sun Maris Park, a 4-5 star hotel, what a lucky escape we thought!
God knows how awful the the previous hotel was cos this one is ok but not fantastic, certainly not 4 star.
The rooms are ok, but very drab and run down, crack in bathroom glass door and outdated fridge which was dirty. The main issue for us was the noise coming from the neighbouring hotel which was intrusive and kept us awake till late.
The pool was lovely, and the outside seating area is nice, although some of the chairs need replacing. Sunbeds seemed ok but sometimes had to battle with fellow guests to secure one(SCOTS).
Food was disapointing, pretty much similar but nevertheless plentiful. Breakfast was not worth having when you know you can get a full english around the corner for about £1. If you like chicken, you'll be in heaven!
The main gripe is about the staff and their attitudes. The waiters were ok albeit a little mute presmuably because of their lack of english, fair enough. The main barman was rude, arrogant and ignorant. The other young lads were ok.
The receptionist (female) was absolutely rude beyond comprehension! She would not last 2 minutes in a british hotel. Several guests commented that they would like to give her a slap, including my wife! How someone like that could be front of hotel is beyond belief.
On a positive note, the guys who were trying to make a living ie the tatooist, photographer, hairdresser and shopkeeper were charming and really good fun.
All in all we would never go all inclusive in Turkey again. There's far too much fun to be had in the bars and restaurants which are cheap as chips and offer great entertainment.
Hope this helps people planning to visit Turkey. Dont go to any Sun Maris hotels.
