“Clean rooms, fun & Sun!”

I stayed in the Seler Hotel with a friend in mid-summer 2011. We were fairly aprehensive before travelling there due to some reviews on here, and as we arrived late night/early Morning it was dark so we were stilll non the wiser. Easy check in, and our bags were quickly carried to our room. Woke up in the Morning, and found nothing wrong with the room, basic but clean with a nice balcony. Headed down to the Bar/Reception area and saw the staff laughing and joking with some of the guests by the pool, I must admit when we saw this we were wondering if we were going to be hassled. How wrong we were! The staff were lovely, couldn't do enough for you, and always around if you needed them. They provided entertainment for the duration of our stay. As we were two girls alone they also gave us advice on where to go, and where was not so safe. We ate at the Hotel Bar during the day sometimes, which was always nice, but did not try the Restaurant (and didn't feel pressured to do so)
I do think the prices were quite high behind the bar, especially as the alcohol was watered down (one member of staff admitted this to me) and we had a fairly hefty tab to pay off every couple of days!
It is a lively Hotel, but they do turn the music down after a certain time at night. I do think if you go to a budget 2 star hotel with a 24 hour bar then you have to expect a certain level of noise, with people making the most of their holiday! If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with lots of sleep then perhaps it would be better to book a quiet hotel in a quiet area?

“Fantastic, friendly and fun, fun, fun”

My husband and I have been to the Seler twice. The first time in Oct 2009 for 2 weeks and we enjoyed it so much we returned in May 2010 for a month! The rooms are clean, the water is always hot and if you have any problems with your room they are sorted quickly and efficiently. The food is good and cheap! and the customer service from all the staff is second to none! You have to remember that this is a 2 star hotel and you get what you pay for. We will be returning to the Seler this Summer, hopefully for another month.

Room Tip: Higher floors are better if you dont like late night noise

Went to this hotel at the end of the season. The staff are really friendly and helpfull. Loads of fun. The hotel has 2 pools which are both good sizes and always clean. My room was quite large with a good sized bathroom. Balcony was big. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. Very good value.

Brilliant time would go back again!!!

I stayed at this hotel in September, when i first got their we were greeted by the hotel staff who were really friendly, also the other guest who were their greeted us as well which was really nice! The rooms are basic but very clean.

This is one of the hotels that you could just stay in and not go out because the staff are really nice and fun, turisk nights are not to be missed as i have never laughed so much!
while i was their i met some really nice people who come back every year, which i will say i will be doing the same because i really enjoyed myself.

Like other people have said in their reviews that the staff hound you to stay their is rubbish, if you want to go out you can.

so all in all best hotel i have stayed in and cant wait to come back next year and see everyone again, also to meet up with al the mad guests again lol

see you next year

xx

“The aircon saved our holiday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

When we arrived at Seler we were greated by some members of staff at about 1am who helped us check in and then carried our suitcases to our room (as there is no lift). When we entered the room we were really disappointed as it was tiny, basic and appeared to have two single beds instead of a double. So we re-arranged the furniture. The room was clean but very warm, we hadn't been told at check-in that we had to pay for aircon. It was late so we went to bed, but we could not sleep because some of the other guests were so loud. They were running up and down the stairs banging on their friends doors, shouting, laughing and just being really gobby. This went on until 6.30am. We slept in over breakfast and were tired all day so we didn't get to enjoy our first day in Turkey much. We were going to ask the rep if we could move hotels but we had to wait until the next day (as we'd slept in) anyway we decided to pay for Aircon for that night and it was a well worth it. The noise of the aircon blanked out the noise of the rowdy guests (in a consistant quiet way) and we slept fine. Upon deciding that it was ok we stayed the rest of the week. We were actually in the quiet part of the hotel (other guests moved from the other side of the complex to ours because it was quieter than what they had!)

As others have mentioned the breakfast is not the English Breakfast type that some people would expect but they did provide an ample Turkish breakfast and when in Rome do as the Romans ...I could get a nice English Breakfast Weatherspoons without leaving the UK....but for those occasions when you'd like one there are plenty of restaurants who serve English Breakfasts quite cheaply. The staff were friendly but often over baring- when leaving the hotel at night to explore the shops or go to the restaurants we did feel a little hassled into having to eat at the hotel restaurant.

The hotel itself is ideally situated within walking distance of in my opinion the nicest non-rave drinking session stretch of Marmaris restaurants and there are regular buses on a main road (4 minute walk away) to the old part of Marmaris where there is the castle. . The hotel grew on us towards the end of the holiday (after we'd had some sleep) but I would probably not stay in this hotel again, it's no the staffs fault really it's more of the type of people who go there! as it's a cheap option for rowdy clubbers and drinkers

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the back of the hotel and also pay for aircon it will stop noise echoing in yo...
