“Lovely hotel but need better service.”

My husband and i stayed at this hotel in June 2011 for 1 week our holiday started of bad when we got dumped in the middle of nowhere to wait for a taxi we had no idea what was going on and it was 5 in the morning and we were very tired, then on arrival at the hotel there was noone there to meet us only a turkish man who had no idea what we were saying. The man took us to our room buy buggy then waited around for a tip which after speaking to a rep he was not allowed to do. We found that when we saw the reps they were very good exampe was where we had an influx of ants in our bedroom and they got it fumigated straight away. The entertainment at this hotel is not very good just because it's adults only doesn't mean we don't want good entertainment. Nearly every night the entertainment was a couple who sang and played guitar they weren't bad but we didn't really want the same thing nearly every night. Moans out the way if you want a relaxing holiday this hotel is great the food was lovely and excellent choice, staff were really friendly, the beach was nice and even better that it was adjoined to the hotel. There was a good choice of trips available even though the trip to efesus was told to us wrong they forgot to mention it was a 4 hour trip. We would go back there again but wasn't the best holiday we have had .

“Not a 5* hotel.”

We were very disappointed with our stay here. It was more like a 3* hotel rather than the 5* it was billed as. Rooms were clean and we had a lovely view over the marina. The staff didn't appear happy in their work except for the guy at the bar located at the quiet pool. It was difficult trying to get staff attention when in the dining area. On the two occasions we had lunch at the hotel it felt like we were in the staff canteen! Won't be returning.

“very clean and friendly staff”

We went to the Imperial in October 2011. Upon arrival we were greeted with a drink into a friendly atmosphere. Our cases were taken from us and we were escorted to our apartment by buggy. Positives - Friendly staff, clean rooms, variety of food choices, adults only, very quiet and peaceful, plenty of sun loungers, can get dolmus (bus) from outside hotel gates to various towns, lots of excursions to choose from Negatives - Cold pools, poor qaulity cocktails, limited choice of spirit (no Jack Daniels or Barcardi) unles you pay extra, rooms are quite a walk away from main part of resort (can get buggy to collect and drop you off), entertainmet was POOR.
If you are looking to laze around all day and not to bothered with entertainment of an evening (light or heavy) or want to be close to a town then this is the place to go. Would recommend hiring out the speedboat from the beach hut on site **worth it**

Room Tip: ask for a seaview room

“Great but something is missing!”

We had a lovely relaxing time at the Marmaris Imperial, it is fantastic and ideal if you want to relax and do nothing for 2 weeks. We did really enjoy that for the first week, but felt we wanted just that little bit more. The food and service at the hotel is fantastic and the views are just breath taking. If we could of just had a few more activities to do in the day time we would have been over the moon. Great place, would definately return for just maybe one week next time.

“Still magic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

If you are looking for a mental week or two with clubs, boozing, and general debauchery, then this is not for you! Look away right now! However, if you are after a lovely secluded location with good views of the sea and mountains, a great, clean resort with professional service and usual Turkish sunshine, this is for you!

Rooms are spacious, clean, modern and with large outside areas/balconies. Most have a view of the sea / the bay / the harbour. Yes, the resort is on the side of a hill...there are steps...lots of them if you have a room high up in the resort, but it's all part of the charm. I loved the lay out to be honest and a brisk walk did me the world of good after a huge dinner!

The grounds are absolutely beautiful with lots of hidden extras. The beach is small but why go to the beach when you can have (as we did everyday) your own lounge area on a pontoon over the warm Turkish seas? There are plenty of sun loungers, whether you go to the beach, the pontoon, the sea front area or one of the 2 lovely and large pools.

The food is buffet style; there is a lot of it, some of it great, some of it not to my taste, but always varied and particularly good on Turkish nights. You MUST visit the rooftop restaurant which is an amazing setting as the sun goes down over Marmaris town and the food is lovely, traditional Turkish fayre. A really lovely, speical evening. The rest of Marmaris is like a low market Blackpool (I love Blackpool by the way) and I would avoid it and its dirty beach at all costs.

The watersports area at the resort is fine...a little expensive given the location (they can charge what they want if there is nowhere else to go can't they!) but fun for a couple hours during the week. There isn't a great deal to do on resort (which is actually a good thing in a way...lovely and relaxing), but the boat to Marmaris is cheap and a great escape. The harbour area in Marmaris is beautiful and has some great eateries (Jan de Vit serves fab Turkish food). The Panorama bar high up in the old town has excellent views and large measures of vodka :)))

The check out tour is advisable and a real varied day out (river cruise, see some turtles, visit the tombs, have a mud bath, go to the beach, lunch and dinner included and a few hours in a hotel near the airport for some last minute sleep before the return flight).

All in all, a lovely week, great weather and I got engaged whilst here! Enjoy!

Room Tip: Remember it's a large, spread out resort...if you want less walking, ask for a room near to rece...
