the hotel is in a very good position just minutes from the beach, but the beach is not very clean and needs a good clean, obviously not the hotels fault
the hotel is spotless, everywhere, they were even scrubbing the sunbeds down with soapy water one evening, found the staff lovely and tanya was great at sorting out a cake and decorating the table for us as it was a friends birthday whilst we were there. the pool area is very large with plenty of sunbeds umbrellas and mattresses plus free pool towels, the rooms i think seem to vary in size but ours was great, you get a fridge and a free safe deposit box and once again the cleaning of the rooms was excellent.
however i would not go back, there's lots of waiters but they wont serve you, they will clear your glasses but they want you to go to the bar and queue up!! in the two weeks we were there got served only once by a waiter. There's quite a nice small inside cafe where you can get tea and coffee etc, but if you asked for a hot drink, you usually got a small stick to stir your tea up with, as they only had a few teaspoons and you couldnt take the milk jug with you as it was the only one they had, you have to remember this is suppose to be a 5 * hotel, i went in one afternoon and the young lady that was serving was in the back, so i left it a few minutes then shouted hello to try to attract her attention, but she didn't hear me so i waited a few more minutes, then the phone rang, she came out answered it and i asked her for my drinks, she asked me to wait, she then got a tray ready, did 3 apple teas, found 3 teaspoons and washed them, then took them to the managers office while i waited to be served.
there was a lovely reception area with comfy chairs, you could sit there but there was a sign on the table that said no drinks allowed, very strange for a hotel.
this was by far the nosiest hotel i have ever stayed at, the music round the pool started at 10.15 in the morning and finished about half 11/12 at night. our room was on the 4th floor but you couldn't sit out on your balcony and have a read or a drink because of the music, it was so loud, animation only interested in the younger end. we sat out a few nights but couldn't have a chat cos of the music, the only other place we could sit in an evening was in the cafe area, great till about 11pm when the disco started, which was situated inside the hotel just facing the cafe area, as soon as the door opened for people going in our out or going to the toilets you had to stop talking till the door shut, it wasn't as bad the 1st week but the 2nd week it just got louder and louder and there was no one to ask to turn it down, you could hear the music through the closed door.
the dining room was a mad house and it was only open for 2 hours each evening and the staff just couldn't cope with the number of people, i think an extra half hour would of made all the difference, constantly queueing up for the grill and for chips seemed to be the norm, im sorry but not my type of food, not into chicken wings, they had chicken on all the time but only the cheap cuts, no beef no lamb no carvery, lots of veg and salads tho, breakfast was good and plenty of choices, made fresh eggs for you and pancakes, didn't see any omelettes, and obviously no bacon or pork,
had booked to go back later in the year, but have cancelled it, couldn't bare the thought of another 2 weeks of living in a disco, such a shame as a lovely hotel but ruined by loud music
