“Now called Laberna!”

Me and 3 other friends stayed here on our trip to marmaris (lads hoilday). I had booked the Supreme hotel but was told 2 days before leaving it had been fully booked and were moved here. Was a bit worried about the move to here as the reviews didnt seem great and was only going on 2 other reviews from here saying the place has been through a refurb. On arrival (3:30am) was greeted at reception and were shown to our rooms. Must point out we paid 120 lira per room for AC for the 9 day stay! Everything still brand new and had bits of plastic on them still! Room hadn't been properly cleaned on arrival as the sink in the bathroom was a bit scummy and the bars of soap that had been used by previous guests were still there and there was an amount hair in the shower drain. Each room had its own balcony overlooking the delapidated 'haunted house' as we called it. Only had to ask for fresh towels once i think for the stay apart from that they were brought daily. Bedding on the other hand, the top sheet was changed a few times, the sheet you lye on was changed maybe once and i dont think the pillow/case was changed once. My other friends which were staying in the room next door was the samn but there sheet that you lye on wasnt changed at all! By the end of the holiday it was stinking, you could actually see it was brown! Apart from all this we really enjoyed our stay here as the staff were all very nice, pool area and bar were always kept clean and pool was nice and deep. We stayed here B&B but only used the breakfast a few times as it was a turkish breakfast and wasnt that great. The rest of the time we went to 'The Trafford Bar' around the corner for breakfast *best bar we went to in marmaris* hands down! The WiFi they have in the hotel only worked in the lobby and none of us could ever seem to log onto facebook through it? All in all we would prob go back here again as the staff are great and it is only a short walk to everything!

Room Tip: The Trafford Bar round the corner is a must 9-1pm full english breakfast only 3.50 lira! Staff are t...

“NOW Called LABERNA HOTEL!!!!”

Well what can I say!! What a fantastic job they have done with the refurb on this hotel! after reading previsou reviews on this hotel i was a bit sceptical but having arrived to discover they have undergone a massive refurb i couldn't not have been more pleased with this hotel,
As soon as you walk into the reception you can see the quality and cleanliness which is carried through the whole hotel, our room was spotless and very cumfortable, the shower (choice of 2 shower heads) was amazing! We stayed bed and breakfast which we probably wouldn't do again as it was only a continental breakfast and we wanted something a bit more hearty but happily ordered from the bar menu, this was really good food as was the evening menu!! The staff there are fantastic happy to help you when you need it and always onhand to provide what ever you need!! They made our stay even more enjoyable but dont like being beat at pool by a girl :o)
The hotel is ina great location only a short walk to the beach and bars with ample restraunts and shops along the way! far away to be peaceful but close enough to stagger home after a good party!! Please do not be put off by the previsou reviews on the origonally named Balci this hotel is now 4* and very deserving of it we would definitely go back again and hopefully will do next year

The week that I stayed here the place was spotless and the Staff where nothing short of amazing. People are forgetting this place has just went under a £3m makeover, everything is spotless. the food is the best I've tasted (the burgers are something else!) Its the first Turkish hotel I have stayed in and it will be the last! I am definetly going there again. The staff are all aged mid-20's Recommended for a "lads holiday".

My only negative is the showers leak. but the water flow is amazing.

the staff are always up for a laugh. esp nico.

“No longer called Balci - now Laberna Hotel”

Excellent hotel which has just undergone a £3 million refurb and has been renamed to hotel Laberna. I was worried when I read all the other reviews here, but I was very impressed with the new hotel. It seems all the previous complaints have been addressed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the showers were very good. The pool and bar area were clean and there was lots of space. I was there with a friend for a relaxing holiday and it suited us perfectly. Only a short walk from the beach and lots of restaraunts, bars and shops nearby. I would say that if you don't like traditional Turkish food, don't go half board. The food on the bar menu is decent though. They have clearly spent a lot of money on this hotel and we had a very good time there. They also plan to open a spa and Turkish bath as part of the renovation. Great value for money!
