“No issues, Hotel fine”

Had a stay for a week back in June 2011, room was large enough not exactly modern but fine and clean, also very good balancing against the cost of the holiday.Staff were great and a laugh (lock up your daughters if you have any). there's a large grass area with sun loungers although the hotel was pretty fun we never failed to find a lounger.

“Cheap but not cheerful”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

I not long ago stayed at this hotel which on first impressions I was 50/50.
Check in was smooth and the young receptionist was friendly and polite.

The room was not great as found decor could have been better and small things like lighting was not working and as I prefer to cook myself in self catering environment the the two ring hob was not working and the utensils could have been better which meant more trips down to the reception.
The towel quality is poor and cleaners do not come round as frequent as they should do so have had to clean myself which they did like.

Restaruant was ok and was not happy when found out the buy one get one free meal offer was not valid yet the advert was displayed.
The staff were ok but not clear on understanding english and having frequent arguments in front of guests.
Late checkout also too pricey, so not good service.

Room Tip: No tips as all rooms equally as bad, but try and get a higher level room for less noise.

“Comfortable rooms in a not so great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

This apartment location has comfortable large rooms. Kitchen area has microwave, two burner elec hob and effective fridge. the rooms are tidied daily but towels and sheets seem to be the same all week. The beds are rock hard we tucked blankets under the sheets to make them bareable. You get one toilet roll for your stay so stock up and take own towels for pool area as they do not allow the use of their towels by pool. The bar and food prices are in keeping with local restaurants and bars and not over priced. The pool is small but there is a nice sun bathing garden. I can understand peoples comments about staff being overly friendly towards women guests but it seemed to be unoffensive if not maybe annoying. Tv services offer english tv and movies channels for a low priced £10 per week. Local resorts across the road are loud until late. As for the location it is what it is. The town of Maramaris has become the English tacky resort with english pubs and all restaurants locally offering the horrible sunday lunch English grub sky tv and sports offerings which is awful but very very cheap. Full English from £1..... The walk to the beach is 15 mins but local cabs only charge £3 each way. Enjoy the market haggle hard aim for 30-50% of starting price and don't be affraid to walk away they will grab and agree to your price on the way out the door and if not then someone else will. ONE STRONG WARNING....Do not go on Quad safari... Myself and my son were badly injured and avoided death my a hairs width when the front wheel fell off the badly maintained quad, and we went off the track and over into a ravine. Had we not hit a tree and the bike wedged I believe we would not have survived. The business owners just tried to wash their hands of it there is NO health and safety in Turkey do action sports at your own risk and check your insurance policy.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing Excelsior hotel which is very noisey at night

my husband and i stayed here from the 1st to 16th october 2011, the thomas cook flights are very inconvienent, but the total cost plus holiday made up for that. we were on the first floor room205 overlooking the laundry which kicked in at 8,30am everyday. a bit away from the seafront, but to follow the canals got you there in about 20mins, we did enjoy our stay and the weather was brill the 1st week three days of heavy rain during the second wk. the staff were very friendly good fun and helpful. we had to vacate our room ar 5 o clock pm after paying £15 for the pleasure even though we werent getting picked up until 11,45 that night. so we were knackered, anyway the rooms were clean. towels and cleaning ever other day, the pool small but clean, the food was good though not much choice.

Room Tip: not 205 not sunny

We really enjoyed staying here it was clean and tidy the staff were polite and always ready to party! The hotel is a fair distance from the beach about 20 min walk but there were taxi's available outside all the time night and day.
The bar staff deniz and rambo were so much fun.... Hotel manager ozan was also nice guy.
Overall we would be more than happy to stay here again, the rooms always smelt so nice.
Oh and musnt forget to mention bob the gardener/handy man (memet) he was always so nice and fun..
