Never been to Turkey before, chose this hotel as it had good reviews and looked like it had a wonderful pool. Although the hotel was good I would not go to this part of the resort again. The beach was pretty non - existent and pebbly. The tiny fish nibbled at you as you got into the water too so although I love swimming I didn't go back into the sea after that! The hotel was fab though and the pool lived up to expectations with a 'lazy river' section which we loved. The buffet food was OK, lots of it and lots of choice, although I felt it lacked much selection for veggies who like something other than salad and chps. We took a boat trip to Icmeler which had a much better beach and a nice sea inlet where the market was. The scenery was lovely on the boat trip and gave you a better sense of the location other than the row upon row of hotels on the strip where our hotel was. The Grand Azure sits back from the 'promenade' with lovely gardens in front so is much more secluded than the other hotels on this strip which have their bars and restaurants directly onto the 'prom'. I did not find it a pleasent experince walking away from our hotel and we tended to spend our evenings in the hotel bar which sits directly on the little strip of beach. They had bands on there some nights and the view of the sunset was beautiful. they would put bean bags and cushions on the beach at night which was lovely. All in all a great hotel, but poor surroundings - what a shame.
